Biggest issue I had was how terrible the room smelled like smoke. Had to go out & buy an air freshener😞

Housekeeping as bad as you can get

Posted 05-Jun-2015
Pros: No road noise. Nice desk arrangement.
Cons: New fan. Better housekeeping.
Location: Great Tex/Mex restaurant walking distance.
Stayed a week. After 1st day had to go to desk to get soap and shampoo every time - housekeeping never left any. After 4 nights had to go to office to ask about clean sheets (supposedly were to change every 3rd night). Toilet bowl had some of the pink mold you can get with standing water. It remained there for our entire stay. Collection of hair in corner of bathroom that also did not move in a week's time. Bottom of bathtub was very dark grey because non skid surface was not scrubbed hard enough. Fan in bathroom was linked to the light so both went on simultaneously which is OK except fan was the noisiest I have ever encountered and precluded anyone sleeping while it operated.

Univ of Delaware graduation

Posted 03-Jun-2015
I was in town for UD graduation. The hotel is a bit hard to find & off the beaten path. It appeared a bit sketchy at first site. I was traveling with a younger sibling of the UD graduate. I went ahead and checked in, not really knowing what to expect. When we got to our room, I was pleasantly surprised. It has laminate flooring and it was clean. I actually like this flooring instead of carpets, you can tell its clean. The sheets & towels were clean. The bathtub did have paint stains in it for some reason & the bathroom is a bit small but it worked out fine. No breakfast buffet or anything but there are plenty of Wawa's around. It's nothing fancy but it served its purpose for our stay in DE. The refrigerator & microwave were helpful, as we stayed for 5 nights. Hotel staff were friendly.

Clientele the major issue

Posted 29-May-2015
Pros: It accommodated pets.
Location: It was in a good location, but not easy to access from the nearby road system, just off a major highway interchange, several restaurants nearby
Stayed here because accommodated pets. Two nights of our stay there were state police on site, dealing with individuals either causing trouble or engaged in illegal activity. The room was clean but rather small, the staff accommodating, but the entrance was hard to get to when driving locally.

Very satisfactory central location

Posted 28-May-2015
Pros: It was near Newark and Wilmington where we had scheduled activities. The room was comfortable and cool and clean, and inexpensive.
Cons: If we had upgraded we would have had a larger TV, which we didn't need, and a hairdryer which we didn't need!
Location: It is close to Christiana's medical facilities, the mall, the University of Delaware, and Wilmington.
We went to the Chicago Sky basketball game in Newark, and were so glad to drive only 15 minutes to " home." We also visited friends and family in the area, went to a museum and Longwood, and didn't have to travel far. It was a fine location and a fine motel.

Spartan hotel on I-95.

Posted 21-May-2015
Pros: Location and the fact that they take pets.
Be forewarned that your room rate does NOT include a hair dryer or a coffee pot, let alone a refrigerator or a microwave. For any of these "amenities" you must pay to upgrade your room (and rate, of course). Rooms are very basic and extremely small, but clean.

Attending a Conference

Posted 23-Apr-2015
When I checked into my room it had a strong ammonia smell. It was hard to breathe. I got a different with a "less strong" smell. Running the A/C seemed to help. Bed was ok but not the most comfortable. As they say: "you get what you pay for."
