TV with no remote: got a remote at front desk that was barely functional. Weird bathroom configuration with door to the commode and shower lined up to break your knees if someone opened it when another was on the toilet. Inexperienced staff.

Not bad in a pinch

Posted 18-Jan-2015 on Hotels.com
Flight out was cancelled so we had to find a hotel. Staff was fantastic. Hotel was clean. Beds were ridiculously soft and uncomfortable. First person to shower had only warm water. By the time the second person got in it had heated up.

Renovations still needed

Posted 17-Jan-2015 on Hotels.com
The reason we booked was for any overnight at a hotel by the beach with a pool that I could float around in because I am 6 months pregnant with twins and needed it. When we got to the hotel we were told their pool was closed for renovations. They made arrangements for us to go to another hotel a mile away to use their pool, which was ok, but going in and out of the cold night air to swim in an indoor heated pool kind of sucked. We did kill one cockroach on the desk when we first go into the room, but was bug and scent free otherwise. I called the front desk to ask a question about dinner but there was never an answer so we had to wing it, which did not work in our favor at the restaurant. The chef didn't prepare soup at all that day, so there was none of that to eat on a cold winter night, and we ordered hot sandwhiches that came out with raw ingrediants mixed in.

Unacceptable bed and bedding.

Posted 04-Jan-2015
Pros: The desk people were vern nice. They let us extend our stay for a small fee so we could come back after the funeral and change our clothes.
Cons: The mattresses need to be updated. I'd add a door to the dressing area - see above. The bedding needs to be arranged so that it covers the shoulders.
Location: We needed to be near the airport and we saw that our flight crew was there also.
I'm sorry to say that although our room was ok for a one night stay for sudden plans to attend an out of town family funeral, the lack of comfort of the bed was not acceptable. It was like a big saggy pillow and the blanket came up so short, I had to hang my feet over the end of the bed to get the covers to cover my shoulders and I am only 5'4''. When you are in the bed trying to sleep and yanking hard is not enough to pull the covers up without getting out of bed and remaking it, that's not good. And we were sore and achy in the morning from the lack of support. Another family member staying there had the same complaint. The clothes closet is open to the sink area which is ok, but there is no door between the sink area and the room - a pocket door or barn style sliding door would have been nice so one person can sleep while the other is splashing around in the sink.
