Advertising of the room was not accurate

Pros: It is close to the beach and had restaurants in walking distance.
Cons: Breakfast should be free to everyone who pays for a hotel room as most hotels offer this service.
Location: Restaurants were conveniently located near the hotel as well as the beach.
I viewed the hotel on expedia and it stated that breakfast would be free however when I arrived at the hotel, I was informed that breakfast was not included. It was advertised that there would be a couch and table in our room however, that was not the case. The room was relatively small for the price I paid for it. There was a small bug in our room and we were moved to another room where the door keys did not work. As a result, we were given a coupon which entiltled us to a breakfast for the inconvenience. We went to breakfast the next morning, and there was only one person working. We had to wait to be seated. We had to wait awhile to get orange juice and the juice was given to us in small glasses.

Pros: The convenience to the college and good restaurants.
Cons: The breakfast area was to small for the number of quest at the hotel.
Location: The location was convenient to the college, restaurants, beach, etc.
Every night we were there the commode had a major leak. The 1st night when we called maintenance there was a bolt missing. 2nd day still leaking. Maintenance put more caulking around commode, it continued to leak, wetting our cloths and was an inconvenience. The commode was still leaking the day we left.

Under Construction

Posted 15-Apr-2014
Pros: The room was clean.
Cons: Customer service the hotel bartender was extremely rude to customers. Construction workers working on hotel should park in back of hotel not customers
Location: Played golf many golfing options also went to the Azalea festival and the beach. Did not have enough time to visit all the sites.
The hotel was under construction and the workers parked in the front hotel parking, we had to park in the back of the hotel. Customer convenience was not the priority. The breakfast was not cooked fresh, they apparently cooked alot of food early so if you arrived to eat later the food was dried out (eggs, potatoes). The bartender was extremely rude to customers, telling customers they could not sit in bar area if they carried a drink in, told customer that the drink he made was fine to him, and demanded a specific amount on tips. Bad service here, suggesting to avoid the bar all together.

Undergoing construction

Posted 12-Jan-2014 on Hotels.com
Was there for a three day stay while dropping off my son at UNCW. Due to construction, there is a makeshift entrance and very little convenient parking. I was immediately met by several guests blocking the narrow entrance while smoking. Front desk clerk was friendly, and gave me my key. Original one was not coded properly, so I had to go down again to get it rekeyed. Not the end of the world. I booked the hotel thinking it was full service, so I would be able to get a glass of wine for the room. No such luck. Instead. they have a two hour? buffet line of "light fare" and two free drinks each night until 8 PM I was never able to take advantage of that The morning buffet was awful. Until renovations are complete, stay somewhere else!!

Our over all stay was very plesant.

Posted 05-Jan-2014
Pros: The quiet, clean, location, comfortable and location
Cons: Housekeeping replenishing and mechanical srecices.
Location: The area was a fist vist for us and there are plenty of things to see and do even in December.
We enjoyed our stay and would recommend your hotel to others. Housekeeping can do a little better job by replenishing cups and towels at regular rate. One day we were missing cups and one morning we were missing wash clothes. This was not a big issue with us but someone else would look at this differently. The air conditioner had a vibration it whic we reported to the desk. We mentioned the problem to the front desk. The vibration continued through our stay at a lesser noise level. We were given a complimentary breakfest for these minor discomforts. Thank you.
