“Good Hotel but weak hotel store”

We liked the comfort of the hotel; however we had a craving for peanuts and the store had no nuts. there was no gift store.

“Overall a good stay”

The location of the hotel was perfect (next to the mall and near PA border), however I did have a couple of bug problems which lowered my rating.

“Pool too cold and lousy food”

For a one night stay this property is acceptable, but stear clear of the hotel's restaurant, poor food over priced. The pool water is just a bit too cold, but it does speed up your pace.

Area recommendations

The various DuPont houses and gardens are the main pull. There Israel also a number of museums.

“Great place to rest”

Hotel was great. Got a free warm cookie when i checked in (how'd they know I had a craving for one), bed was really comfortable, bathroom felt luxurious, and the best part- the air conditioner worked so well i didn't realize it was even there. I mean, i've been to hotels where its an arctic blast or humid rush of air with no in between setting- very uncomfortable. This one was set just right. The entrance to the hotel is a bit tricky. I missed it the first time. Nice to have lots of restaurants across the street. Would definitely return if business takes me back in the area. Actually, the nicest compliment I can give is that I'd stay there if I were on vacation.

“I'll return soon”

I had a good time. I enjoy going to Delaware. The Air Condition in the Hotel was good. It was extremely cold that I was under the blanket all day and all night. However it was just Leisure and I wanted to spend a day out in Delaware just to relax and I hope I move down to Delaware one day.

Area recommendations

I recommend Concord Pike In Wilmington Delaware because the stores are surrounded next to the Hotel which means easy access to public transportation.

“Good choice for a weekend getaway”

Right up there with the Hilton expectations. The check in was very pleasant and welcoming. The room, except for the view of the rooftop airconditioning, was large, clean and comfortable. We chose this hotel to be close to the Brandywine Valley museums and most were within a short drive. Before you get to the rolling countryside, though, expect lotsof traffic and dense commercial developement. The only minor quibble with the hotel was a slippery, wet, tiled elevator floor. Would definitely to back and would recommend to others.

Dining

Plenty of restaurants in the area, many of them chains. We chose McKensies Brewpub, Iron Hill, and Famous Daves.

“weekend stay at the Doubletree North Wilmington”

The hotel was very nice. The only problem we had was that it is diffiecult to get into the hotel. As a matter of fact, our gps told us we had to make a u-turn to get into the property. I dont know if it is because the hotel is right next to a mall, but I think they they should try to improve the entrance and exit.

Any of the suburban areas of Wilmington, Delaware ()very nice neighborhoods.

“"Not impressed"”

Reserved a smoking room didn't get it. WiFi wasn't working cable went out in the room. No ice machine working on our floor.Bedding only gets changed every 3 days.

The area was good. The hotel was not impressive Tampa, Fl double Tree was far more impressive.
