“OK”

I have a couple complaints. When I made the reservation I called back because I forgot to tell them we needed a ground floor room. The person I talked to when I called back said he would send a note, which he did. Apparently the Hotel did not get it. When I got to the hotel there were not any available on the ground floor. I said what good does it do to make a reservation. I have the note where it was sent after I called. Also, apparently they had had a power outage before we got there. There were not any outside lights on the second floor. When I called the front desk they said they were working on the timer. We couldn't see the room # when we returned to the room after dark. It was hard to navigate the steps with no lights. Also it was very dangerous trying to take our luggage up the stairs without falling. This is the first time I have stayed at a Super 8 and this was not a good experience.

“What a dump”

There are cheap hotel rooms and then there's this one. Bad TV reception (with cable yet). No movie channels. Thin, thin walls. People congregate on the walkway smoking, drinking and generally keeping others awake. Sleep in a ditch if you have to but don't sleep here.

“Don't get room facing highway (obviously)”

was not aware of proximity to highway, unfortunately got a room facing highway, was very noisy throughout night, make sure to ask for a room not facing highway, for the rest good quality vs price. normally stay at days inn there , but quality there has declined a lot, super8 has remodeled some years ago and the rooms are indeed much nicer.

“Dated, but fine”

You get what you pay for. While it did not have all the luxuries of a Hyatt, it was a fine place to sleep - - and it was cheap. The rooms were fine, the beds were comfortable and the breakfast was like any other hotel. They could have cleaned the balcony and stairways from all the cigarette butts and other trash, but that was minor.

“Very pleasantly surprised”

The rooms were newly decorated with very comfortable beds, nice lobby, gracious staff, very sufficient complimentary breakfast (complete with waffles and danish rolls). The only drawback was that our room faced the busy interstate right next to the motel. The A/C fan was sufficient to block out that traffic noise.

“Not a good experience”

Check-in was okay although there was a group of several people smoking just outside the lobby entrance. Not pleasant to try to get through the polluted air! Maintenance is a major issue. Most of the exterior hall lights were not working, so it was almost impossible to see where to insert the key card. In daylight the following morning, noted that hallway had not been cleaned in some time and had a lot of dirt and small trash. Stairwell was filthy - particularly the dried, aged vomit on the stairs. The room itself was fairly clean although the carpet had numerous stains. Needs to be deep cleaned or replaced. Bed was comfortable enough and sheets were clean. Signage is sparse, so it took a lot of effort to find the ice machine. Overall, I will not stay in a Super 8 in the future - particularly not this one.

“I would stay again”

Very clean room, recently redone. Nice and quiet, no road noise. Hotel staff friendly and helpful. Hotel clerk steered us to a great restaurtant not too far from the hotel that wasn't a chain restaurant. I would definitely stay again.

“Met our needs”

Hotel was convenient and met our needs. The "Super Start" Breakfast was not all that great. Very limited fruit selection (apples/oranges only).

“Recommended hotel”

The hotel was clean and nicely laid out. However, the area around the hotel is a declining neighborhood with empty businesses all around.
