“jim”
my wife and i had a wonderful stay
“Wonderful”
The hotel is in a fantastic location, hotel was great, staff was really friendly and helpful. Definitely recommend.
“Friendly service, very convenient to Colonial Williamsburg!”
Decorated in colonial style, so not so cozy. But fine. Very clean and hotel employees were all super friendly. Perfect place to stay with my husband and three children. If it were not 100 degrees it is easily walkable. Conveniently the bus stop is across the street and comes every 10 minutes or the hotel shuttle took me where I wanted to go. We got 20% off the bounce tickets because we stayed at a colonial property. I called and ordered tickets on our way to the hotel and they had them waiting when we arrived. We toured Colonial Williamsburg, went to Busch Gardens and Water Country. Staying @ this hotel was a great call after the kids were exhausted and hot. My husband took them to Water Country while I walked across the street to the spa. It was a gorgeous, clean spa. If you go earlier than your appt. you can work out in their impressive fitness room, or relax in the sauna. It was so refreshing being pampered after walking around all day. To us, the convenience to Colonial Williamsburg and the shopping district and the amazing spa made it worth staying here.
“Good hotel with bad food”
The hotel is very convenient and clean but some areas like the elevator and rugs look run down. I was at a reception and the food was tasteless, later went for dinner at the restaurant and order oysters. They were 5 rather than the customary 6 and they were old and dry. Next day at breakfast the Yogurt I took had a consumu by date that had passed 4 days before.
“Great Location”
Great Locaction, just walk down the street and you are in colonial williamsburg. Got lost trying to find room, the map was a bit confusing and we took the wrong elevator from the parking garage. Our hallway was very dark and gloomy, although some of the other wings had nice bright hallways. Check in was fast. Room was fine, floors very creaky, heard the people in the floor above us moving around at night. Pool was nice. Might stay here again for the location, but the price was a bit high.
“Great hotel in Williamsburg”
While the Williamsburg Inn gets all the press, this newly renovated property right next door is, in my opinion, a much better option. It has all the amenities one would ever want, beautiful rooms, free wifi, and free parking. It is also perfectly located on the border of the historic area (and mere minutes from Busch Gardens, as well). My family and I were very happy we chose this hotel and will definitely stay here the next time we visit Colonial Williamsburg.
“Wonderful location, clean and comfortable!”
Wonderful location, clean and comfortable! We could walk to many attractions.
“Very Nice”
Convenient, excellent facility and within walking distance of Historic Williamsburg, would go back again.
“Great location in the middle of historic Williamsburg”
Nice, colonial ambience in convenient location.
“Can't beat this hotel for its location”
The service at the Lodge was 1st class with friendly check in and suprt services. Friendly staff, good food and a very well run hotel. I would recommend this to both families and individual travelers. Being within the Historic Area meant that it was just a 5 minute walk to the center of all the sights.
