Staff very friendly and accommodating, offered us a room upgrade without extra fee when he realized our original booking might be a little too cramped. He also gave us map of the town with restaurant recommendations. Room was clean and quiet.

I loved my stay at the Orchards hotel. It is beautiful; the library, living room, pool, the fountain outside, are all so charming and quaint at the same time. My room was comfortable, and pampered me with soaps, shampoos, lotions, and robes. The bathroom was large and the room was cozy, with a television in the armoire and access to many channels. The turndown service and housekeeping are excellent. The food at the Gala Steakhouse and Bistro is delicious, the service excellent. The hotel is in a beautiful country location, and they make you feel like a special guest. I love the cookies at the check-in desk, and the ones they leave for you at night, along with even a "sweet dreams" card and weather forecast so that you can plan your stay. It is the perfect place to get away from the city and feel special. I will be coming back!
Overall the stay was moderate. We had a bed and a shower so not too much to complain. The place was pretty run down and dirty. Would stay there again if no other choice. The staff, especially Krish, were exceptionally accommodating and a delight.
This was a nice inexpensive motel, easy to find right on Rt 7. The staff was extremely friendly, and the room and bathroom were very clean. I was surprised to find that the room had a microwave and mini refrigerator as well!
The owner came by the following morning to let us know that he usually serves muffins and coffee to all the guests, but since it was the off season he didn't have the setup. Instead he gave us $10 cash to spend on own coffee in town. That was super-nice, really unexpected, and really above and beyond what I would expect.

The Porches is an excellent, boutique option for staying in the Berkshires. Great location in North Adams, across the street from Mass MoCA and just down the road from Williamstown. Large, well-appointed rooms that are very comfortable . . . a pool / hot tub / sauna . . . and excellent Continental breakfast included in room rate. I always try to stay here when I'm passing through the area, and haven't been disappointed yet.
