“Great base for walkers”
A wonderful hotel full of character and charm. Station is 10 mins walk and the bus 1 minute down the road. The station gives you trains to Schynigge Platte, Grindelwald, Lauterbrunnen (and Junfraujoch) and of course Interlaken. Rooms were cosy, breakfast yummy, and evening meals in the restaurants were a treat. It was also great that it is not just tourists who get there and you can me some of the locals! It was a delight to stay there for a week.
“Nice place”
We were glad to stay here rather than in Interlaken itself - you get the charm of staying in a real "working" village with Swiss around you, but also a lovely classic chalet hotel. Very convenient for hopping on trains up into the mountains. Would be happy to stay there again.
“A really Swiss hotel”
If you are looking for a typical welcoming Swiss chalet style hotel, flowers round windows, views of Alps, then this is the right hotel for you. Friendly and helpful staff (who speak some English), good food, much of which is sourced locally, a good centre for touring and walking, offering a comfortable and very enjoyable stay. Also convenient for rail travellers as Wilderswil is one stop from Interlaken (no bad thing!) but a good route centre for Jungfrau and other mountain railways. Hotel provides a free bus pass for your stay which means you can get about locally very easily. Lots of nice touches to the hotel, including the teddy bears which reflect the hotels name. Definitely worth careful consideration for your holiday. We would stay there again without doubt.
“Wild wilderswil”
Wilderswil is about a 20 min bus ride from interlarken west train stop. catch a bus from the station and it at the end of the line. easy walk into town too if you miss the bus. it is every 30 mins on peak time , 1 hour off peak. Took us about 45 to walk it. extremely friendly staff, only to eager to help out. has access to a sauna and clothes washing facilites. Nice breakfast. After being spoilt in another hotel was disapointed in the range of food but if you havent been spoilt it is a class breaky. we got handed a free bus pass for the local area and into town. Always had hot water. Excellent with the weather reports. Only bad thing was they had a restaurant attached to the hotel and they allowed smoking inside.
“Great View of Eiger and Monch”
Really nice clean small hotel outside Interlaken. Cosy restaurant, with surprisingly good food and busy little bar. Pleasant residential area and quiet. Very handy for trains to Interlaken and ski areas. Best View from our room at the top of the hotel to see on a clear day the Eiger, Monch and Jungfrau.
