“Excellent hotel in Wiesbaden”

We had stayed at the Oranien in Wiesbaden twenty years ago and liked it very much. This year we stopped in Wiesbaden again after a four-week vacation in Southwest Germany to enjoy the town and to be close to Frankfurt airport for an early-morning flight. The hotel is being renovated, beautifully--we were given one of the "new" rooms, on the back side of the building which looks down at the hotel's garden and into a screen of evergreens. So the room was not only spacious, nicely appointment and comfortable in every way, but also quiet. Just one block away is the gateway to the old town's network of pedestrian-only streets, with plenty of opportunities to shop and a good choice of restaurants from Middle-Eastern to traditional German. Highly recommended.

Area recommendations
The old town, which you enter a block from the hotel. Much of it is reserved for pedestrians only, and there are plenty of shops and restaurants. And the town hall and formal 1900-era spa buildings and a lovely park for long walks are only fifteen minutes away at an easy walking pace.

“Very Pleased”

This is my third stay in Wiesbaden at three different hotels. No real complaints about any of them, but this is the one I'll go back to. I stayed in a basic single room which was modestly but comfortably appointed. The staff was very welcoming and helpful. Everyone spoke perfect english. The hotel is located on a quiet tree-lined street at the edge of the downtown shopping area. There is a very good breakfast buffet at a reasonable price. I highly recommend this hotel.
