Everything was as expected for our stay. Great location, clean rooms, good breakfast and nice bar for evening relaxing.

Very comfortable spacious suites. Good and responsive very supportive staff. I enjoyed a 10 day stay and would look forward to stay again at this hotel

A warm and restless night.....

Pros: Beds were nice and the décor seemed up to date. The breakfast was better than the cheaper hotels I have been in.
Cons: The air conditioning units do appear to be an older model and may not be too reliable. May need to upgrade.
Location: Close to downtown if you want to be in that area.
Overall condition of hotel is nice and the breakfast buffet was decent with plenty of seating available for the average to above average crowds. Parking is located in a garage next to the hotel. No direct connection so you must walk outside and enter from the front, which is fine for us considering security issues and such. We did not check in until around midnight and found our room to be very humid and warm compared to the outside temperature and the temperature in the hallway outside the room. The A/C is controlled by a thermostat on the wall and it was set at 76. I dropped it to 72 hoping to get instant gratification........no luck. Eventually worked my way down to the lowest setting of 60 and no change. Tried to use high fan, no difference in flow. But it was loud as heck so I know it was running. Reported it but I was told that they could not do anything about it because I did not reserve directly thru the hotel and Expedia would have to handle it. I repeatedly said that I was more concerned that they would need to have it fixed before renting it out to another individual. They said they would tell maintenance but I somehow left with an uneasy feeling from the response given and how things were handled. I hope they resolved the issue after we left.

We had to check out early due to a family emergency. Front desk couldn't give me a receipt...would email it they said. Have yet to receive it.

NO Jacuzzi was a disappointment. Bar closed @ 11 which I thought to be very early. Other than that I thought it was a middle rate hotel. I definitely paid too much for my stay. But not a bad hotel to stay in.

Pool closed in the middle of spring break WTH?

1st of we have stayed at this hotel befor. Their was 8 of us, 4 adults and 4 kids ages 5-15. The main reason we stayed here was because of the indoor pool. We arrived on a Wednesday afternoon, the week of spring break. When we arrive the indoor pool is closed. We were told it would be open on Thursday morning at 8am. Thursday morning rolls around and they say it wont be open until Thursday afternoon sometime?? REALLY?? POOL CLOSED IN THE MIDDLE OF SPRING BREAK, WTH? They said it was self cleaning. You would think they would schedule that after pool hours, not in the middle of the week during spring break. Needles to say, if these rooms were not paid for in advance, we would have probably never checked in. So finally when we got back to the hotel Thursday afternoon, the pool was FINALLY open. Rooms, hotel, and location are great, which is why we chose this place in the first place. Other than the issues with the swimming pool, it was a pleasant stay. Their are a lot of good musems and stuff for kids in Wichita. Free breakfast is a plus when traveling with kids who are always hungry.

Front desk rep. and maintenance man were amazing.

During my stay at this hotel I run into a few issues with the room comfort level due to the temperature control not working properly. But lucky Jay the maintenance man was extremely good at what he does and the problem was fixed there on the spot. Thank you Jay for your kind and helpful attitude. Furthermore, everyone likes to feel important and that is exactly how Larry the front desk concierge made my family feel. Every issue I had on his watch was taken care off immanently. Larry holds the standard and level of professionalism Fairfield Inns & Suites Marriott downtown Wichita should instill in every employee they hire. Outstanding work Larry, keep leading the way!!

Great Spring Break

My grandchildren and I did a short Spring Break trip to Wichita and had a wonderful time. The hotel was perfect, friendly service, very comfortable. Thank you for providing us with a great place to stay.
