Dont have high expectations
I have stay at many Staybridge Suites and this one was most disappointing. It was outdated and facilities were not up to par. The microwave stopped working and then continued to beep with a service warning ⚠️. I had to unplug it. The phone in the room didnt work...it sounded like an old dial-up computer with high pitch sounds and static buzzing. I called the number on the phone in the room (labeled to give to a 911 dispatcher if needed) and it was wrong! It took me to some Two Sisters business. There were no waste baggies or trash can bags at any of the pet stations. With all that said... the staff was always very friendly and helpful with what they could do.

This property was not cleaned. The room was rough. The property was rough. Was pretty run down. Main lobby was good and the morning breakfast was good!

1st impressions are everything and the grass or should I say weeds around the property looked as if they hadn’t been touched in over a month. The next thing that caught my attention was the “POOL CLOSED” sign. I told lady behind counter if I would have known the pool was closed I wouldn’t have booked. Room was spacious, TV’s a little small for our viewing pleasure. AC worked great. There were exposed electrical wires in our closet for a pre-existing light bulb. The pull out sofa which my 12 year old sleep on was the size of a miniature blow up mattress with approx 3” of bed mattress. Won’t stay here again. Let me make this very clear. I lay all of this upon Management and owners. You guys (cross gender for you some folks) can do a lot better. Chad from East Texas

Breakfast was quite good. There are some maintenance and repair issues in the room that are minor, but could be improved. We had a great stay!

Staff was exceptionally nice and helpful; however didn’t present a professional look as all wore street or athletic clothes. Some areas were cluttered and not clean. Rooms were clean, very comfortable and roomy.

First assigned room had not been cleaned. Second room assigned was not totally cleaned (trash under kitchen sink, dirty dishes in sink, and main TV did not work). Upon checkout, the clerk took out name so that the manager could call us. The manager did contact us about one hour later and thanked us for letting him know the issues. He was going to take of the room fee for the issues we had.

The property is in need of maintenance. The inner entry door was removed due to pending repairs, the tub in my room sagged in the middle, which made the tub very slippery due to standing water for hours after showering, and the gym was "out of order".

Hotel was a good stop…lots of places to eat in the area. Room had good space and kitchenette and the beds were comfy. Could use some updating, but it was fine. And quiet so we slept well.

Seems every hotel is neglected these days
First, the good news: The beds were comfy and we slept well. Breakfast was definitely one of the best in this price/class range. The property was generally clean (picked up, anyway) and seemed very safe. Now, the bad news: It seems all hotels lately have some major neglect. In this case, it was the major water leaks. See attached photos. Water was probably leaking in the room above us, as well as our room. We couldn't use the closet, because the smell of mold was so strong.

Not what you would expect…
Let me start with the staff was great! However, the first room I was put into the toilet wasn’t attached to the floor; the second room, the toilet just rocked. The spout on the bathtub was loose. If you are expecting to cook in the “kitchen”; know there isn’t a stove and the ditches provided are lacking or broken or chipped. They kept telling us the pool would be open “tomorrow”; except tomorrow was the answer to when will the pool open. I’m pretty sure the sheets on the pull out couch were dirty. They have ONE washer and ONE dryer for the guest laundry room. Cleanliness was okay; but know that the hotel is old and run down without updates. I will find another place to stay next time I have to visit WF.

Roach Motel
Man who checked us in was stoned out of his mind and could barely get through the check in. His friends were hanging around outside the door waving at us and being obnoxious. Couch looked like something found on the side of the road and the final straw was the two cockroaches we encountered in the bathroom. Had been on the road for 16 hours so needed a few hours of sleep so we closed our eyes and listened to the other cockroach skittering around. Got up 5 hours later, skipped the shower for fear of what might join us and hit the road. Will definitely skip the entire town in next trip.
