Don't go

Posted 10-Feb-2015
it's is a very dirty and in organized hotel with very basic necessities. The bathrooms were absolutely disgusting there was a musty smell all throughout. The complementary breakfast included nothing but packaged pastries..... Really!!!

Adequate, clean, staff try hard.

Posted 02-Feb-2015
Pros: Staff seemed very friendly and eager to please.
Cons: Breakfast could have a bit more variety...
Location: Downtown core; easy walk to the river front; easy walk all around downtown. Buildings and alley ways were very scenic! Next time with my camera!
Downtown location was what we wanted so we could walk around and see the buildings etc. It can't be more downtown! Price included breakfast, parking and wi-fi. Was a decent buy for the price. Place is older but they say that upfront on their website. 7th floor river view was nice; best view they can offer! Staff were anxious to please. Facility could use an update but that would drive price up.... King bed was very firm, no sags etc and room was certainly clean; crisp linens etc. Room was warm; had to turn heating off completely to get temperature comfortable, then on again during the night when it cooled off a bit too much. We can't fault the facility considering the price; if we wanted a 5 star we would expect to pay, and get, more! All in all, the hotel was adequate in terms of necessities, not fancy but not bad in any way. We would recommend to 'some' friends but not necessarily everyone we know. Check in was quick and efficient, breakfast was very basic but included OJ and coffee, and again, was adequate, and available from 3AM on!!! Location was great. Walked the entire downtown and enjoyed the architecture and wide range of scenery available. Would stay here again if I go back to Wheeling.

Decent for price

Lady at check in was very helpful at straightening up mistakes made by Expedia. She was very helpful and friendly. Hotel could use some face work but was clean. Pillows sucked! Breakfast bar should be called more of a pre packaged snack.

Over booked

Posted 04-Nov-2014
The hotel was over booked and we had to stay at another hotel. The staff did help us out finding another place to stay. We lost several hours of time that we could have spent sight seeing.

Check the tub....

Posted 03-Nov-2014 on Hotels.com
Just an overnight for business so I arrived late and left early... the main reason for the low rank was that the tub/shower wasn't clean... i hate it when there is hair on the sides of the tub.
