We were pleasantly surprised by the location and soon discovered that the hotel is very convenient to walk to the seafront and town - a nice 10 minute walk and you're there.
The room (which we booked for a family of four) was very comfortable. Only slight minus point was that the shower wasn't fantastic at keeping a constant temperature and not very powerful, so it needs an update. Otherwise everything else was to a very good standard. As soon as we mentioned that we were a little hot in the room, within minutes a large fan was delivered and really made the stay comfortable.
The swimming pool and leisure facilities were a real bonus, especially for the children. There is a lovely, relaxed bar area, adjacent to the dining room.

The Guest house was quite adequate and very convenient for the Ferry and also the town of Weymouth. The plumbing was very noisy. Everything from service to breakfast was adequate but not outstanding. There was no one around at check out time and it was a bit strange just walking out but as I had been in the entrance area for 25 minutes without anyone appearing it seemed that this was normal, until the landlady came dashing out to the car to see if I had taken the keys away.
We stayed for 3 nights at the George Hotel . When we arrived, we saw the stunning property and with ample parking which is always a bonus . The property is a Victorian Vicarage and is stunning to say the least .
We entered and was greeted by Carole, a very nice lady who escorted us to our room . Rooms are nicely finished , we had an en suit and it was lovely .
Carole replenished our tea / coffee and biscuits every day and serviced our room .
Breakfast was perfect and we could help ourselves to cereals and toast before being served with a lovely full English that kept us going most of the day .
The George is a short stroll from the sea front and main town and for us it was perfectly placed .
Really enjoyed our stay and meeting Carole . Thank you
Stayed here for just the one night on business it is located in a nice country setting with a large outdoor area which on a summers evening would be a nice place to chill.
The staff are extremely helpful and the rooms which are in a separate annex are well furnished and have a modern bathroom and interior, the food at the pub is of good quality.
One note for you mobile phone users the signal is very poor but they do offer free wifi.
