“Very Impressive”
This Hotel is Excellent i would highly recommend a stay there, the food is delicious and the staff very friendly and helpful.
“Lovely setting, lots of extras”
This hotel is a little out of the centre of town so would be difficult without a car. Rooms small but very nice. The extra touches are great, like free wifi and the pub attached to the hotel with good food and local beer. Staff were extremely obliging. I would recommend this hotel.
“Tiny room at a big price”
Booked a junior double room four months in advance - but somehow ended up paying the full rack rate. The room we had was even smaller than that shown on their web site measuring 2.41m by 3.40m (7ft 11 by 11ft 2). There was just 25cm (10 inches) between side of small double bed and wall. Only one small wardrobe was provided, with no shelving. The bathroom was the size of a cupboard fitting in a small shower, wc and whb with no bathroom. Only one chair was provided in the room, so partner had to sit on bed. No hairdrier was provided but there were five power points (!) above the desk which was jammed next to the bed. The room is probably the smallest double you'll find in a supposed four star hotel in the UK. On the night we booked in the hotel was full (wedding that day), but after complaining we were offered a better room the following night which matched the standards you expect in a four star hotel. The breakfast was excellent, with poached eggs freshly prepared to order. We ate two meals in the attached Stables pub which were good value and well prepared, and sensibly priced. Weetwood Hall was a student hall of residence, and this room was obviously a single bedroom in the past with a small ensuite added on. The venue has excellent conference centre facilities and the 'junior' rooms are best suited to use by single conference attendees. Only book 'junior' rooms if you want to relive your student days, otherwise best avoided!
“Excellent”
Really nice hotel, full of character in quiet, leafy location.
“Enjoyable experience”
The reception area was nicely presented and there were facilities available to charge up your mobile phone if you had left your mobile charger at home. There were also complimentary apples at reception which my partner kept eating. The room was clean and tidy and biscuits and bottled water were provided alongside the tea/coffee expected in most hotels now. My partner did comment that he would have liked to have had 'yorkshire tea' rather than the type provided in the room. The room was comfortable but the television reception wasn't great. The shower wasn't as powerful as I'd hoped. Night time was a bit noisy but that was because the weekend we arrived, there was a wedding on the Saturday and a christening on the Sunday. The internet was accessible for free so my partner used it to check his emails. You can also search and find information on any attractions that you wish to visit. The breakfast was nice and there was a choice of hot food, cereals, and fruit. It was a buffet so you helped yourself (except for tea/coffee and toast which were brought to your table). The hotel is set in very nice grounds and I enjoyed my stay. I would recommend this hotel.
“Not a bad stay”
Nice hotel, lovely little pub within grounds. Quite expensive food generally but great quality, especially breakfast. Had a tiny room - the smallest we've ever had - but it was on the ground floor, near the reception. Would have expected leisure facilities on site for such a hotel, but they transported you to the local health club (David Lloyd) instead. Didn't bother as seemed too much hassle. Would have used them if they were within the hotel though. Stayed for a wedding and we were packed into a room far too small for the ceremony but the day went very well. Overall not a bad stay.
“peace and quite”
