Modern and well appointed

Well situated for our needs with everything you need on site. Great rooms but the lighting design is crap. Bring a torch if you want to see in the wardrobe.

Good friendly hotel.

Posted 08-Jul-2014
Location: A bit outside Leeds so if you are looking for bustling nightlife it is a taxi ride away.
We stayed here for the weekend of the 'Grand Depart' 2014 so it was extremely busy. However every single member of staff that we came into contact with were very pleasant and couldn't do enough for us. We enjoyed our stay and would definitely return and recommend it.

Good facilities and a warm welcome

Posted 07-Jul-2014
Stayed two nights for Tour de France Grand Depart. The hotel is conveniently located south of Leeds, just off the M62. The facilities (pool and gym) and welcoming staff set it apart from a Premier Inn or other chains. I last stayed a couple of years ago and the decor is starting to look a bit tired. The room although comfortable would have benefitted from a deep clean to give it a fresh clean smell and appearance.

A good hotel and very good value.

Posted 23-Jun-2014
Pros: The fact that breakfast was included and the price and value.
Cons: Not really anything significant.
Location: As above this is 20 mins drive to Leeds but in our view well worth the trip.
The hotel is 20mins from Leeds city centre, away form the madding crowd and high prices (roughly 1/3 of the price of hotels in Leeds). It was easy to find and the staff were efficient and welcoming. Breakfast was included. so it was quite a bargain. Our room was standard but more than adequate with a new funky bathroom and comfortable bed The breakfast was excellent again with attentive polite staff. We would definately recommend this Hotel..

Good business location

Posted 18-Jun-2014
Pros: Good size bedroom, and very comfortable bed. Excellent bathroom cleanliness, but bath/shower difficult to work!
Cons: Bath/shower ease of use could be improved
Location: Not applicable
A little intimidating to walk into, a dark reception area. Great staff though to greet, and very helpful.

Excellent hotel, shame about the food.

Posted 05-Jun-2014
Pros: Room
Cons: Pub Food
Really enjoyed my stay, The food at the pub was not the best, however, there is another restaurant that is better and also there is a Starbucks.

Good hotel, great facilities

Posted 04-Jun-2014
Pros: Gym, pool, Starbucks, 24 hr service
Cons: Extra lifts
I have stayed at the village several times now, it is a nice hotel with really friendly staff and great gym / pool facilities. The single lift can lead to a few delays if expecting to leave at peak times but otherwise it is difficult to fault. Added advantage of Starbucks coffee. Recommend the upper deck (upgraded rooms) if you want to watch digital channels / movies as these have sky where the standard rooms are limited to the very mainstream channels and do not extend to regular freeview.

Great family hotel

Posted 28-Apr-2014
Pros: Friendly, helpful staff - nothing too much trouble, from the reception, to leisure area and restaurant. Great service.
Cons: More choice on menu.
Just had one night for a family of four after a day visit to Leeds. After exhausting journey from Oxford and a busy day we were welcomed by friendly staff, clean family room, fantastic pool and restaurant on site. I think the staff go the extra mile and definitely make this place better than average. Wendy Allen
