Nice good value hotel.

Very accomidating staff who ensured our stay was pleasent. Good beds and clean large room. The rooms and decor are "old style" rather than a shiny modern hotel but i found it charming and it's well maintained.

Pros: Railway connection and friendly staff
Location: Only stayed one night. Didn't go out as it was a nice, friendly place with good food.
Friendly staff and good food. Unusual but interesting decor in the pub! Great fun.

It may not be the cheapest in the area but it is worth every penny. Well worth a stay even if your passing

Convenient to shopping

Posted 13-Feb-2014
Pros: Staff!
Cons: Touch up the peeling paint
Location: Location (down the street from the Three Horse Shoes Pub!) and across the street from grocery stores, etc.
Staff was very accommodating, breakfast included and they were happy to take care of our every need. Room was nice, a little cold (they had a portable heater for us), and could have used some touch-up paint. I'd stay there again.

Can't fault it

Pros: free wifi pub prices for drinks coffee shop
First impressions: easy parking, a coffee shop attached to the pub, cheap pub prices for drinks and food. The accommodation was in the stables block. I entered a warm, cosy and pleasant-smelling room, with a desk for work and comfy bed. The food was hearty and good value, the staff very helpful. Free wifi which worked in the room was a bonus. Breakfast was cooked to order and I got a proper latte with it. I would gladly stay there again, especially for work.

I don't usually choose pub hotels but was very impressed here. The accommodation is separate from the hotel so there are no noice problems. On arrival was shown to may room and explained the usual about internet access, breakfast arrangement etc. Room was very clean and bed comfy, a small comment is that the TV is a little small for the size of room. Food is very good. Staff were very welcoming and friendly! I usually stay in a big hotel chain nearby but it was full..however in future I will be staying here.

Toilet hadn't been cleaned, Room was cold but had an Oil radiator heater which quickly heated room up. couldn't connect to wifi as signal wasn't weak. Also had no mobile signal on both mobile phones and there was no landline phone in the room so had to go couldn't make/ received any calls. Breakfast wasn't any special compared to other hotels i've stayed in for similar price. wasn't worth the £61 i paid for a Pub hotel so won't be going back anytime soon.

Pleasant surprise!

Pros: Room and breakfast
Cons: Power shower
Location: Didn't really explore area
We stayed here as we needed to be close to a family party nearby. When we turned up we didn't think much to it but the rooms are actually round the back in converted stables. The room was really nice and much better than we expected for the price. The lady that welcomed us was really nice and the free breakfast in the morning was as good as any hotel chain...as well as a selection of fruit and unlimited cereal there was a full English. Would definitely recommend as a base if needing to stay in the area.
