Great location, lovely room, very friendly staff

Posted 23-Jul-2014
Spent two nights here, ran the Leeds 10k and stayed for work. All the staff were very friendly, gave a great restaurant recommendation, helped with bags and parking, emailed invoices and were just generally pleasant. It's a beautiful hotel and very centrally located.

Gorgeous hotel in the center of Leeds

Posted 11-Jul-2014
Beautifully appointed rooms and wonderfully helpful staff. Quebecs has the most comfortable bed, duvet, and pillows I've ever experienced anywhere; the coffee and tea-making facilities are top notch (real French-press cafetieres and very good quality coffee), with delicious biscuits and fresh apples in each room. The Occitaine Green Vetiver toiletries and extra plush towels were especially nice. The only suggestions I would make would be to provide a few more sugar and milk packets, and to include a diagram of how the shower's very complex trio of dials and stoppers work, since these are not standard types. But these are minor suggestions: this hotel's quality was a splendid and pleasant surprise. I will stay there again every time I visit Leeds. Highly recommended.

Fantastic room and will return. Hotel clean and staff friendly. Well worth a visit when in Leeds and much better than the larger chains.

Tremendous comfort in the heart of Leeds

Posted 30-May-2014
Pros: Comfort
Ultra modern bathroom, super quiet rooms, spacious, clean with everything at your disposal for a comfortable stay. The softest pillows! So good I overslept and nearly missed the meeting I was staying there to attend! Charming staff

Amazing

Posted 25-May-2014
Pros: It was completely spotless.
We booked the deluxe club room which was lovely and very comfy but we noticed a slight drip coming through the celling late on the first night, we reported and the staff couldn't do enough. We got upgraded to the balcony suite which was to die for! The room was perfect including a coffee machine and blankets and candles for outside, which was the only place in the hotel you can smoke as well. Oh don't worry about a bad night's sleep either as the bed gives you a hug. The only thing is the hotel was having work done and is covered in scaffolding, hearing work men on a morning and seeing them stood outside your window is a little off putting but i couldn't blame the hotel for this as it is an amazing building and it needs preserving.

Good location for train station and city centre

Posted 01-Apr-2014
Pros: The room was fabulous - very spacious and the location just perfect for arrival by train and to explore the city centre.
Cons: The check-in process, especially on a busy Saturday, could do with being staggered or having more than one person able to check people in
Overall our stay was very good but we did experience a couple of issues - being sent to the wrong room, losing my husbands bag for an hour and serving us raw chicken. Each issue was dealt with very well by staff, in particular the barman was great in response to our rather undercooked order. I would say they were a bit too busy / too short staffed /don't have a great set up to cope with the influx of people checking in at 3pm with only one person being able to check people in. Yet they didn't appear to let anyone check-in early (we arrived at 2pm) when there must have been some rooms available. Pretty sure thus flurry of activity was what led to us being sent to the wrong room and the bag going astray which was later found in a different room - not in ours of the one we were sent to.

Great location but lacking in other areas

Posted 23-Feb-2014
Pros: Large room, high ceiling, showe
Cons: Poor draining in the bathroom sink; very noisy, useless air con
Location: Good location - but a hotel needs more than good location!
Unusual reception; unprofessional staff. Air-con in the room excessively noisy. Light from corridor shining through gaps in the door. Slightly tired d├ęcor.

Close to city centre and easy road links

Posted 05-Jan-2014
Pros: It's originality and history
Cons: I would have liked to have prebooked a parking slot. It was first come first served which made it difficult to plan ahead.
Location: Great location near to city centre and close to railway station. Must see corn exchange and Leeds City market. Wonderful buildings.
On arrival we were upgraded to an executive room which was very comfortable.

central in Leeds and near train station

Posted 30-Nov-2013
I definitely recommend the Quebec hotel, apart from it being a visually stunningly old hotel with many beautiful features, like the Oak room and the stained glass windows, the staff were just fantastic and friendly and our room was lovely. I cant wait to go back early next year. The breakfast which although not included in the price, is better because you can have the choice whether to have a full cooked or something smaller and it s very varied so it suited us perfectly. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff so I can only highly recommend staying there.
