Overnight stay at Leeds.

Posted 01-Dec-2014
My boyfriend and I stayed at this hotel during our recentl trip to Leeds and would highly recommend this to anyone. It's 2 minutes from the train station and the City centre and is in such an ideal spot. The room was amazing, lovely decoration and bathroom. The hotel staff were very helpful and friendly. Overall it was an excellent stay and we'd definitely go back!

fabulous hotel with great character

I may be biased because the hotel upgraded my room to a suite but I think that this hotel was fantastic. Lovely helpful staff, gorgeous room, L'Occitene bath products. Breakfast was fine. I would recommend to everyone.

Beautiful but not perfect

Posted 30-Oct-2014
The location is great and the rooms look nice but on arrival we were simply told we were on the second floor (which is just 1 floor up from reception confusingly) so we got a bit lost. No biggie, but it would have been nice to have been shown to the room on arrival. The bed was very soft which some may like but I prefer a hard bed. The room overlooked a back alley way, which again wasn't a big deal as I don't think any of the rooms had a great view being in the city centre but there was a constant hum from some kind of industrial fan and someone thought it was ok to recycle glass in the bins right under our room at 5.45am. We stayed for 2 nights. When we got back from a morning out at about 2pm on the second day the room still hadn't been made up which was a bit annoying as we wanted a nap, but when I asked at reception they did sort it immediately. Overall it was nice. The hotel itself was very calm and quiet but not as amazing as I had hoped.

Great place and location

We love staying in hotels that are unique and not part of a large chain, one's with personality and history. The Quebecs fit the bill exactly. Hotel and staff lived up to the reviews given by others. Very classy, personable staff that were friendly and helpful which was first exhibited by a young lady on her way into the building when we arrived, offered to help and then lugged my heavy piece of luggage up the stairs with a smile. Whenever we asked for recommendations, advice, or help with something, they gladly assisted us. Our suite, which we took on the advice of other Expedia travellers, was spacious and very comfortable. The hotel was within walking distance from the train station, taxis were responsive when called for by hotel staff, and getting around Leeds from the hotel was very easy.

Disappointing

Stayed for one night and expected better I'm afraid. The room overlooked office windows and airconditioning units below so quite noisy. Room rather small and bed not even a double size. Bathroom cramped and toilet so close to sink you bang your elbow. Only a shower and that was dirty and mouldy round the bottom, chipped/cracked floor tiles also!

Very good location, great service

I booked the Club room with my daughter to accompany her for her Uni. Asked for 2 single beds but the room was too small to accommodate that. On finding that out, Caroline was exceptionally helpful and rearranged the fully booked hotel to change our room to a bigger one for a reasonable fee. She also gave us lots of good information where to buy our things for my daughter's hostel. Location is very central and in fact opposite Leeds Law faculty so for the 1st few days of orientation, she just cross the street. Overall a very comfortable and pleasant stay. My kudos to Caroline.

Lovely hotel with plenty of chatacter

A lovely hotel full of character, historical building with beautiful stained glass windows surrounding a curved stairway. The staff were fantastic, very warm welcome and checkout process with all hotel amenities well explained. My room was warm and inviting and had superb proportions and facilities. The wi-fi did drop a few times and struggled to support a facetime call but otherwise the room was great. nice to have a separate bath and shower rather than the usual combined combi. Bed was comfortable but pillows a little soft. All told though I loved it and will definitely try to stay again in preference to the standard modern hotels in abundance locally. Very nice and congratulations to the management on having such a nice \ friendly team working there. Thank-you.

Was a lovely stay for my birthday. It's right near the train station and trinity centre. Has a nice bar area and the staff are lovely. The room was very comfortable and the shower was amazing.
