“Excellent value”

Although externally, the hotel is in dire need of a facelift, upon entering the lobby all fears are quickly allayed. Inside all is excellent. Lobby and bar area are very smart. Rooms very clean and comfortable. Service friendly and reliable. The location of the hotel means that it is very easily accessible by road , but there is absolutely NOTHING within walking distance other than the rather pleasant hotel grounds. There are some lovely villages and country inns only a short drive away.

“Very tired hotel”

Very tired hotel, nice friendly staff, had a pool and a sauna, breakfast was lovely dinner not so good, hotel in need of a good overhaul. Nothing in the immediate vicinity.

“Disappointed”

This is quite a sad hotel, obviously it was impressive in its heyday but by the looks of things that was quite some time ago! The evening meal on the first night I was there was so bad that the coach holiday leaders complained loudly with the result that no charge was made for that meal! Apparently the meal the next night was very much better but I decided to go elsewhere. Didn't have any breakfasts either as there were no tables available at 8.30 am so I did without.
