good location close to railway station

Posted 25-Aug-2014
Pros: location was very good and the king size bed
Cons: Room may have needed a little updating but was perfectly adequate
Location: very close to railway station (as we had travelled by train). Numerous shops within walking distance and the ammouries museum worth a visit 5mins away
Pleasant stay at a well situated hotel. We only stayed the one night but it was a good location for sightseeing and also the numerous shops Leeds has to offer. Hotel staff were very helpful and polite. Hotel facilities were not used due to short stay apart from the restaurant in the morning for breakfast, which was very good, with a wide range of food on offer. Would recommend this hotel.

Two day stay at The Park Plaza

Posted 17-Aug-2014
Did have problems on the first day with water going off. However staff were excellent and for compensation refunded my parking charges. Ideal location for shops and nightlife. Will stay again

Nice hotel right on Trinity doorstep

Posted 13-Aug-2014
Pros: The style/look of the hotel was very smart. Ideal for both business and couples.
Cons: As stated above, maybe some form of note system of any changes.
Location: The hotel is on the doorstep to the Trinity Centre which is a fantastic shopping centre. It's surrounded by bars and restaurants too.
I stayed in the executive room; it was gorgeous. It had a very smart, modern look and it was clean. The only thing I can fault on is the water pressure, it kept dropping and then powering back up. So you'd put the tap on full to get some water, then it'll just gush out then drop again. The shower was the same. The staff were lovely enough, but to check in I seen 2 different women because the room wasn't ready, which is fair enough. But I had to explain I was leaving a day early to them both, then again to a 3rd lady when checking out. I had already phoned 2 weeks prior to explain that I would be checking out a day before too, so I would have thought a note would have been left on the system. But other than that, the stay was lovely enough, and I would come back.

Only use this hotel if you arrive by train

Posted 04-Aug-2014
Pros: Staff room facilities food all really good and very nice
Cons: Car Parking facilities = like a local member of staff offering to park it for you even for a fee
Location: Location very poor for Car Parks = good for most other things = food drink shopping all near by
Great staff nice hotel great food = no car parking means you have the most horrendous experience going round the Leeds one way system = that the locals describe as a nightmare = you have been warned. It is the worst city centre to drive round that I have ever experienced = give me London, Birmingham, Manchester, Liverpool any day!

Central hotel but disappointing

Posted 28-Jul-2014
Pros: Location
Cons: The cleaning and maintenance of rooms, not acceptable for what customers pay. A door on the bathroom for privacy!! room 807
Have always stayed at the Leeds Marriott but thought we'd try somewhere different. This hotel was slightly more expensive but the hotel and facilities attracted us from the website. It was our wedding anniversary and wanted it to be extra special. When we arrived we were informed we were staying in a double windowed room on the corner with fabulous views. Our room actually only had one window. The room had not been cleaned to a good standard with dust/dirt around the carpet edges and coffee/dirt stains on the white walls which clearly stood out. The bathroom door had been removed and the hinges and screws found in a drawer which should of been used for clothes. No bathrobe available as promised in our package and the fridge was also covered in coffee and milk stain from the tea/coffee making facilities above. The sink was also blocked resulting in the water/toothpaste etc taking ages to drain away... not pleasant!! We asked if another room was available but were informed there was not. The best thing was the air conditioning available during the hot weather.
