Lovely hotel for city escape

Posted 16-Dec-2014
Pros: Closeness to train station
Cons: Breakfast was expensive
Location: Right in the middle of leeds
Big bed, massive bath :) luxurious bathroom, shame the room was small but it was certainly big enough. Nice view out onto leeds. Perfect location for visiting the city right next to the train station.

Good Hotel

Posted 03-Dec-2014
Pros: The reception staff and locality.
Cons: The beds and cleanliness
Location: Trinity shopping centre and plenty of places to eat. Went to the playhouse which was an excellent experience.
Good hotel close to the station and Trinity shopping area. The reception staff excellent , very pleasant and helpful and always smiling. We booked 3 months in advance and requested a twin room and ended up with a double bed ( good job it was my sister) When we queried the mistake we were told because we had booked through expedia it was only a request and they did not have to honor this if it wasn't possible, which it wasn't. The room wasn't very clean and the bed and the pillows uncomfortable and the under cover sheet didn't fit and the duvet wasn't large enough for the bed. We didn't try the restaurant or bars so couldn't comment but as the hotel was so central we went out and about each night which was excellent. Will be going back next year to give it another try as it was so central but might upgrade to an executive room instead.

Park Plaza Leeds

Posted 24-Nov-2014
Pros: location & food
Cons: drippy noise outside window when raining - room 801
Great central location, with discounted parking in a nearby Qpark. Super restaurant on the first floor. Really helpful staff who quickly sorted out a replacement room for us late one evening.

Stay at Park Plaza Leeds

Posted 03-Nov-2014
Pros: Not much. Very basic and needs a good overhaul. The rooms are basic, the beds are simply "put-up" camp beds.
Cons: The hotel needs refurbishing. The cleaning staff need to replenish items in the room. I have to wonder where these items go if not into the room.
Location: Great location and good facilities - ideal if you haven't had your room replenished with the basics!
Unfortunately, I was booked into this hotel for two business trips and after the first stay I couldn't change the second without incurring the full cost. The same poor room standards prevailed the second time. I had to ask for the tea/coffe facilities to be refreshed, the soap from the bathroom had been removed and not replaced, and neither was the shower gel that I had opened the previous night - I had to go out and buy my own as Reception didn't answer the phone when I rang to ask for these basic items.

Very nice room in a great location

Posted 27-Oct-2014
We stayed for 2 nights Friday and Saturday. The hotel is in a great location right opposite the train station and close to Leeds trinity shopping centre. The hotel itself was clean and presentable. There is no parking but you do get discounted parking at Q park above Bibis restaurant. The room itself was clean and had a comfy bed. Was appropriate for the money we paid. I would stay again.

Services at Park Plaza Leeds

Posted 23-Oct-2014
Pros: Not much.
Cons: Needs a general tidy-up. Rooms are tired and dated.
Location: Good location, close to the rail station and shops.
Having stayed at Park Plaza London when on company business, I decided to stick with what I know and booked Park Plaza Leeds when I was in Leeds. The room was not cheap, yet the standard of the room was not a patch on the London Park Plaza. I was there 2 nights, yet on the second night, whilst my room had been cleaned, I had not been left any tea or coffee, nor any shower gel. The room kettle was also broken. Reception took ages to answer the phone about the kettle ... and still no teabags or milk. In the end I gave up and went out and brought my own teabags and milk. Sadly, I'm already booked to stay there again next week as I have two weeks of visiting Leeds on business. Had I known the poor quality of service I'd experience I'd have booked elsewhere for the second trip.
