Great hotel , very central.

Posted 12-Oct-2014
Pros: Comfotable beds, tea & coffee facilities in room.
Cons: Correct number of towels in bathroom, only 1 large towel for 2 of us !
Stayed 1 night, room was very comfortable & clean. Bathroom also clean, plenty hot water & accessories provided. Tea & Coffee facilities & free WIFI were available. We ate with friends in the Brasserie ,food was very good, & well presented, but service was extremely slow.

Business class hotel

Posted 21-Sep-2014
Pros: Location, friendly staff
Cons: Better wifi - very weak and slow in my room. Very expensive breakfast.
Location: Close to the shopping centre. An excellent local pub (with good food and beer) is the Adelphi on the other side of the bridge over the Aire.
Malmaison hotel just to the south of the city centre. My room was small (but perfectly adequate) with a view over the river. The room was quiet and well appointed (good toiletries. Breakfast was ample with a good range of choices (but avoid the orange pieces which were fermenting).

City Hotel

Posted 14-Aug-2014
Pros: All areas are very clean and tidy and the bar is pleasing for a night cap.
Cons: The bed was the worst part of our stay as it was much too firm. It did not give at all when you sat or layed on it and was not great for sleeping on.
Location: Location is great for shopping areas and Raymonds Blancs bistro
Hotel is in a good central position and is very clean and well decorated. Service in bar, restuarant was fine and room was a good size with a very good shower. We stayed 1 night with friends in 2 double rooms including breakfast which was very good.

Not what was expected

Posted 31-Jul-2014
Pros: It's central location.
Cons: Decorate Staff training Improved fire escape procedures
Location: Very centrally located with lots of very reasonably priced restaurants.
Having stayed at this hotel many times I was saddened to see that it has become 'tired' and many of the staff apathetic. The room was average, not was expected from a superior room. I requested a quiet room and was allocated a room overlooking a busy junction with heavy traffic till the early hours of the morning. The air conditioning was inadequate but we could not open the windows due to the traffic noise. On the last night we had to evacuate owing to a fire alarm. The fire escape led to a locked service compound which prevented us from exiting the hotel complex, it was some time before staff unlocked the gate. We were given no apology or explanation . A very sorry stay at what was one of Leeds most premier hotel.

OK is all i can really say.

Posted 04-Jul-2014
Pros: Location was great and friendly staff
Cons: Rooms need an update (bathroom was held together with sealant and furnature need an update as chipped and well used)
Location: Spitting distance to the train station and in a vibrant area of pubs, bars and restaurants.
The staff were friendly but feel that the hotel could do with a lick of paint and some modernisation for the price you are paying.

Didn't want to leave!!

Posted 30-Jun-2014 on Hotels.com
I booked the hotel as a surprise birthday treat for my partners 40th birthday. We both hadn't been before and absolutely loved it, so much we didn't want to leave. Checking in was easy and the reception staff was very friendly. The room itself was really nice. The bed was so comfy and we loved the nightlights in the bathroom so you didn't need the top light on and didn't disturb each other. The breakfast was lovely and plenty of variety. All in all this was an amazing stay and will definitely be back. The parking is really easy too. We enjoyed a lovely meal at Bibi's Italian restaurant just around the corner and plenty of bars close by so perfect for location.

Reliable for overnight business trip

Posted 23-Jun-2014
Pros: Location, decor, high bed, could open bedroom window
Cons: Some of the decor needs some upkeep and maintenance e.g. chipped tiles etc
Location: Excellent location, 5 minutes walk from rail station in city centre.
First time staying in a Malmaison. Staff were friendly and extremely helpful - aiming to deliver a good service. Excellent location and would stay again.

Lovely Stay

Posted 27-May-2014 on Hotels.com
I stayed here for a short business trip and really enjoyed the room. It was incredibly comfy, very spacious and the attention to detail was so nice to see. All the quirky touches really made my room feel special- and MUCH nicer than some of the other hotels I've stayed in recently in the same area. Excellent price also for the quality of the room and hotel.
