Easy walk from the station ...

Posted 19-May-2015
Pros: Friendliness of restaurant staff.
Cons: More staff on reception.
Location: Near to major shopping centre. Surrounded by pubs, bars, restaurants.
Booked and pre-paid for 2 rooms. On arrival found that one room had been cancelled (by Marriott). Fortunately, there were spare rooms available. Rooms overlooked the courtyard - which was good as the noise level was much less than if facing the street, although the rumble of trains could still be heard. Decor was ok. Could do with a thorough dusting. Beds were ok. Very soft mattresses. Breakfast was the only meal taken. Standard buffet but really above standard staff.

Lovely Central Leeds Hotel

Posted 18-May-2015
My daughter and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this superbly positioned Hotel. The room was very comfortable and quiet, and the buffet breakfast lavish. We loved the convenient position of the Hotel within a tranquil square, yet with easy access to the multi-storey car park, historic Trinity Church, and all the culture and shopping that Leeds offers.

Great location in the town centre, but ......

Posted 13-May-2015
Pros: comfort, staff
Cons: join us in the 21st century and stop charging for wifi
Location: great town centre location for Leeds, so plenty to do
.... parking is expensive. Very comfortable rooms, very friendly staff, but in this day and age why still charging for wifi at these room prices? The first day is free, but after that it's expensive - very cheeky I think. Even Travelodge wifi is cheaper. Apart from that, a lovely place to stay.

Good location - needs a spruce up

Posted 09-May-2015
Pros: Pillows, bed and food were all excellent.
Cons: A bit of attention to the things that need repairing and a bit more staff training or maybe more staff.
Location: Location was excellent and great shops, movies etc, on the doorstep.
The hotel was conveniently located and comfortable bed and pillows. The first night I was there the hot water was out - while they said it was being fixed - the idea of relaxing in the bath on the first night was not to happen. Staff were very polite but there was no follow up with things they said they'd do. The bathroom was tatty - broken taps etc....I had expected more. Food was good. The hotel may be good value - depending on the price you get.

Fab location, very comfortable stay

Posted 30-Apr-2015
Had a family room, unfortunately it had an adjoining door and the first night the man the other side of room kept me awake with his snoring!! Did tell reception, they offered to move us but we declined, second night sleep perfect. Next time I stay I will request no adjoining room. We couldn't use the pool as it was closed, very disappointed, they did offer us a taxi to a nearby pool but it's not the same & I wasn't aware it was closed before arrival, prior warning would have been appreciated. The pool is one of the attractions with my teenage kids and it's open till late at night which is great after a day's shopping especially if you don't want to hit the buzzing night life of Leeds. The rooms are comfortable, beautiful bedding and pillows. Breakfast was delish and great value for money, overall a great hotel, despite my moans I will be back once the pool is up and running.

Excellent location

Posted 27-Apr-2015
Pros: Location and early check in.
Location: Excellent location for bars/restaurants and shopping.
Had a lovely weekend celebrating my birthday. Large spacious room, very comfortable and clean. Check in was excellent and we managed to get in a little earlier so they were very accommodating.

An absolute gem

Posted 26-Apr-2015
Pros: Everything
After 6 weeks of travelling, we arrived tired and over hotels. Our experience at the Leeds Marriott lifted our spirits. Checkin was easy, staff were very friendly and helpful. Our room was very comfortable and the beds were heavenly, the best sleep we had had for several nights. Room service and hotel food was excellent but if you wanted to go out the hotel was close to many great restaurants. Excellent location.

All round nice

It's a nice enough hotel but slightly dated furniture falling apart and looking it's age. Could do with a revamp especially for the price they are charging. Good breakfasts though better than what my friends were getting at the Hilton

Very noisy!

Posted 30-Mar-2015
Pros: Nice staff Comfortable beds Generous tea/coffee supplies & toiletries
Cons: Improve sound insulation - cctv in corridors to deter party revellers!
Location: Too handy for nightclubs!
Stayed on a Saturday night - experienced very loud noise from the street, shouting & partying crowds & the thump thump of music until 3am! Then continued noise on our floor with revellers returning & shouting & continuing to party in their rooms. Myself and 2 daughters got very little sleep. Really poor sound insulation :( We will not return :( such a shame as a nice hotel otherwise and really nice staff.
