very convenient location, great Indian restaurant

We stayed here for the night when going to Fleetwood Mac concert - It was booked last minute. The hotel was clean comfortable and the meal we had in the AM restaurant was excellent and very reasonably priced - Only downside was there is no hotel carpark and it cost £11 to park the car in the nearby multi storey from about 4pm to 8 am the next day.

Privacy

Pros: Convenient for when I'm in Leeds on business and usually excellent quality. Sadly, not this time.
Cons: Attitude towards those booking through other sources such as Expedia. We are still paying guests!
Location: Good central location for trains and shops. Better than being stuck in a dingy hotel out in the sticks.
Staff not as welcoming if you book through any other channel than Marriott direct. I've done it both ways - Expedia and directly with Marriott - far better reception if you book direct with Marriott. I also put a sign on the door asking for privacy as I was only there for two nights and did not need the room cleaned during that time. Having left a laptop and key drive in the room whilst I went out, I came back to find the room had been cleaned, despite expressly putting a sign on the door. On speaking to the Reception team, they simply replied that Housekeeping could enter a room anytime they wished and basically I had to put up with it. I think I was more unimpressed with this response than the act of Housekeeping ignoring the door sign.

No provision for handicapped.

Pros: Rooms were comfortable.
Cons: Add internet to room TV, add better TV stations or cable included in room price.
Internet is $17 US per day, parking is 2 blocks away and $36 per day. Dining in house very expensive for area.

Location is excellent for shopping and train stati

Posted 12-Jun-2015
Pros: Location
Brilliant hotel, only complaint is the mini bar which will automatically charge to your room if you move an item so I was terrified every time my daughter got our milk out of the fridge that she would move something.

We had stayed at this hotel for the weekend just gone for my son birthday. Firstly it was hard to find, secondly they never told us that they don't have there own car park we had to park in a multi store car park. When we got into the room it was nice but disappointed with the bathroom as it smelt of damp

Easy walk from the station ...

Posted 19-May-2015
Pros: Friendliness of restaurant staff.
Cons: More staff on reception.
Location: Near to major shopping centre. Surrounded by pubs, bars, restaurants.
Booked and pre-paid for 2 rooms. On arrival found that one room had been cancelled (by Marriott). Fortunately, there were spare rooms available. Rooms overlooked the courtyard - which was good as the noise level was much less than if facing the street, although the rumble of trains could still be heard. Decor was ok. Could do with a thorough dusting. Beds were ok. Very soft mattresses. Breakfast was the only meal taken. Standard buffet but really above standard staff.

Lovely Central Leeds Hotel

Posted 18-May-2015
My daughter and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this superbly positioned Hotel. The room was very comfortable and quiet, and the buffet breakfast lavish. We loved the convenient position of the Hotel within a tranquil square, yet with easy access to the multi-storey car park, historic Trinity Church, and all the culture and shopping that Leeds offers.

Great location in the town centre, but ......

Posted 13-May-2015
Pros: comfort, staff
Cons: join us in the 21st century and stop charging for wifi
Location: great town centre location for Leeds, so plenty to do
.... parking is expensive. Very comfortable rooms, very friendly staff, but in this day and age why still charging for wifi at these room prices? The first day is free, but after that it's expensive - very cheeky I think. Even Travelodge wifi is cheaper. Apart from that, a lovely place to stay.
