Dear guest. Thank you for your review. I am sorry you felt that some of the things you experienced was not up to standard. However, because on the morning of your stay we had a number of unexpected guests requesting breakfast we did run out of bacon and tomatoes. The all other hot food items could be found in the buffet. Our breakfast staff did say that it would take 5-10 minutes to replenish finished items but you decided not to wait. We then offered you a breakfast free of charge but you were ready to go. I am genuinely sorry about the breakfast but we never said it would take an hour! Regarding the 'man on the phone', he had had a shower with the shower door open in his bedroom, which caused a significant leak in the hallway on the ground floor. There was substantial damage but it unfortunate you had to comment on the managers 'customer service' without knowing the full story.

Dear guest. I am sorry about the leak in your room. We had stormy weather in Huddersfield on the night of your stay and one of the roof slates had been blown out of position. The roof since then has been repaired and the problem with the leak resolved. Regards

Dear Guest, I'm sorry to read your review but I would like to explain that the 'filthy' room in question was a complete oversight on our side and we would like to sincerely apologise. However we would have appreciated you telling us how you felt and we could have changed the room for you. After reviewing the room there was a small stain on the one of the lamp shades, however the bedding was all clean and to call the hotel a 'dump' is an exaggeration. All the breakfast items are kept in food warmers and the bacon is available upon request as we prefer to provide the bacon freshly cooked. The vast majority of our reviews are positive and we strive to aim for complete customer satisfaction.

Dear Guest, thank you for your review. The room that you had was a family room and based on the standards recommended by Visit England the room has the capacity and floor space to be sold as a family. With regards to breakfast, all the food is cooked on the day and we have a policy of not reheating food. I'm not sure how you came to deduce that the food is stale but even if you did think that, we would have made you a breakfast from scratch if you had any doubts. With regards to the price of the room, £55/night is very reasonably priced. We don't run a charity therefore we cant provide the rooms any cheaper, however you are free to book where you like in the future. Regards
