Excellent value budget hotel.

Posted 26-May-2015
Pros: Location, staff, room
At £35 per room I wasn't expecting too much but was pleasantly surprised. Room was clean, bed comfortable, good supply of tea/coffee. Staff friendly & helpful. Location is fantastic for bars, shops & station. Beats Travel Lodge for me and will definately be using again.

Location Mattered Most

Posted 26-May-2015
Pros: The hotel is right next to the railway station. It provides a convenient shopping, resting and transport point for wondering the city.
Cons: Other facility such as bedding and toilet lock need maintenance to bring it up to standard.
Location: Ten minute walk to the Armoury Musemum, explore Leeds City market, exhibition in town hall square
This is the second time I stay in the hotel. The first time I stayed in a room on 3rd floor facing the street and station. The noisier than usual background may be a little bit annoying during the night if you are noise sensitive. This time I stayed in a room on the top floor which si much quieter during the night but you have walk up one floor as the escalator didn't reach it.

Discover the Traffic Noise at Discovery Inn

Posted 25-Apr-2015 on Hotels
I was given a room one floor above a busy street, beside a traffic signal. The windows where not adequate to block out noise. Consequently, there was loud noise, especially from motorcycles and trucks all day and night. When I complained about the noise, I was told that it was to be expected in a large city. The promised free WiFi didn't work on that floor. To connect, I needed to go to the lobby. I was told that the problem was that there were so many people using it on that side of the building. I asked for a different room, but was denied it. For £33 for one night, it was worth it, but I won't stay there again.
