“Comfortable and adequate but not sure of 4 star rating”
My wife and I spent a weekend in Leeds and stayed at the Crowne Plaza. The hotel is located about 5 - 10 minute walk from the main centre. Our room was comfortable but starting to show its age, the furniture had numerouse chips and dents. Most in need of an update was the bathroom that is out of the 80's, although kept clean the shower, toilet and sink are all showing their extended age. Most annoying of all with the Crowne Plaza is that they charge for parking, the three night stay, Friday to Monday, cost us £30 to keep our car in the hotel car park.
“Ideal for our requirements”
We wanted a good base for the Leeds Royal Armouries and for the Leeds Kitchen restaurant (both highly recommended by us) while staying in the City Centre. Decor good, reception helpful, very comfortable. We also chose the hotel as it had some car parking (although £13 a night was pretty steep).

This hotel was welcoming and just right for our overnight stay in Leeds. Staff were friendly and helpfull
“Would not stay here again”
We booked an executive room but the standard was very poor. The curtains were dirty and the paper was peeling off the walls. There was a very noisy sound like a toilet cistern constantly streaming. It was so loud that we could not sleep, eventually we had to move hotels in the middle of the night. Although the main entrance hall etc is fine the rooms really are not and I would never stay here again nor would I recommend anyone else to!

“Great hotel, great staff”
Stayed for one night at the Crowne Plaza and was very pleased with the service, we were allowed to check in 4 hours early and the rooms were very clean. Very impressed with the amount (and size) of the towels provided. Sauna, steam room and swimming pool all very clean and towels were again provided. All staff were polite and friendly and overall my friends and I were very pleased with the hotel.
