“Good Value for Money for those looking for somewhere to rest their head.”
Cheap, clean and cheerful. Surprised at having to pay an extra £5 for parking but otherwise excellent.
“Ideal for budget stop over”
Hotel seems to cater mainly for people staying for one night on transit through Gatwick. Everything was efficiently done, clean and functional. The staff were friendly, smiley and helpful. Highly recommended for those who are looking for a bed for the night at not too high a cost.
“Good airport hotel”
Very modern clean hotel. Staff very friendly and helpful. If you are flying to or from Gatwick Airport and need someone reasonably priced to stay this hotel would be a good choice.
“Convenient and good value stay”
Hi, we needed to be at Gatwick for an early morning flight. We chose the Ibis because it was the cheapest by far. It was a little further away than the others. When we arrived at Gatwick we made our way to the "Hotel buses" stop (we followed signs) and the bus saying Ibis came within 5 minutes. We had to pay £3 each to get to the hotel which took about 8 minutes. We were checked in quickly. The room was clean, quiet, nice and pleasant. Nice bathroom, no problem with space. We only slept and left the next morning so I cannot comment on food, etc. I saw that internet was available at a staggering £9.99 but we didn't use it. The shuttle bus came once every half an hour I think so we got there early in case there was a queue (I think once it is full, then that is it, there is just the one which holds 12). For the great price we paid, I would definitely stay here again, even with transfers its great value. P.S. In the event that you are driving there, please be aware that the car park costs about £5 a day.
“Excellent Night.”
I stayed for a night at a special discounted rate obtained via Expedia.com in July whilst travelling to Canada. I have a mild disability and my request for a room close to the lifts was honoured. The restaurant provided excellent food at very reasonable prices, although at busy times one should be prepared to wait a little longer. It was a very comfortable stay breaking an otherwise long journey from Cornwall to Ontario. The staff were very helpful and the room was clean, the facilities functioning as they should. Great value! I will definately be staying there again when travelling via Gatwick.
“Good for the money”
Standard Ibis hotel - nothing special but a clean, adequate room and a comfortable bed. Staff very pleasant and helpful, breakfast good value - especially near an airport. Great for one night.
“Cheap and comfortable airport hotel”
Excellent hotel for a brief stay - I was using it overnight just to bridge airport connection times. The Ibis is an excellent hotel for its price - flat screen t.v, clean, comfortable and modern room. The hotel has been very accomodating by holding luggage for me for several days so that I do not have to cart it around on internal flights. They have also done this for a friend without any trouble so it seems like standard policy.
“Clean, comfortable and perfect for airport”
Excellent hotel - clean; friendly, helpful staff and building in good state of repair. Parking costs £5 per day and good access to the airport.
“Crash pad conveinient for the airport.”
I was on an early flight to Barbados and just needed somewhere to flop - and being on my own I had no one to split the bill with. The Ibis is not the Ritz by any means, but the basics are of a satisfactory standard. I took food with me but there is a bar and restaurant downstairs that serves meals. The TV in the room got a good variety of channels so there was something to do to pass the time before I went to bed. I had a comfortable, quiet night before catching my flight - and it was nice to get an alarm call from a human being rather than a machine. The hotel runs a shuttle to the airport for £3.20 and there is also a bus that stops outside regularly. Be aware that the shuttle only sits 8 so at busy times you need to be first in the queue - it goes from the hotel door.
“easyget to gatwick”
the hotel had everything we wanted, the staff wre very helpful & pilote, we would recommend the hotel to anyone.
