Worst hotel I have been in my life. The heating did not work and the bed was dirty.

We arrived and there was not electricity, so, we had to wait in the dankness until someone come back and active it from the central controllers. It was SUPER COLD and wet in the room, and we patiently wait 2hs until it "gets warm" but it never did because they had 2 tinny electric heaters for a big and cold room. We called 3 times the number that was indicated in the reception to be called in case of problems, but he said to us (3 times) that he couldn't do ANYTHING for us. It was impossible to sleep in that illegal's temperatures conditions, so we leave the key in the "empty" reception without someone there during the whole time and we had to look for another hotel that night. We never sleep there. We come back the next day to ask for a refund, and he agreed but he told us that we need to contact Expedia for this.

Even if the furniture & decoration is a bit "old style", location is perfect (in the center, beach front, everything walking distance). Excellent value for money, apartment with living room, bedroom & kitchen, possibility to store luggage in case you arrive earlier or live later. Will definitely stay there again!

A Great Weekend Break
The room was spacious and set out with a longe area and Separate bedroom. It also included a fridge, cooker & Microwave. There was a drop off area for us to unload our gear and then It was a five minute walk to the car park which was free. We had an excellent meal at the Yacht Club which was where tha car was parked and a really superb meal at a restaurant just round the corner (2 minutes away). It was a 10 minute walk to the station where a train trip to Bruge was only 5 Euros return. We actually returned to Oostende on the same ticket and then took a tram back to Blankenberge for 3 Euros. All in all an excellent situation. We will be going back to the Apathotel.

Amazing access to the beach.
You are literally right on the beach. Get a room facing the sea the view is amazing at night. The hotel is a 2 star hotel but the location and view is 5 stars. My two biggest complaints are the parking and the lack of a fan in the room. We were on the 12th floor and it was ver hot even with the sliding door open.

4 bed apartment ideal for weekend break
Modern block, quite plain inside but nice room, with veranda, we paid extra for sea view. Kitchenette and dining area so we walked down to nearby supermarket and got our own breakfast. you can eat in at 10euro each. Windows open right up with 10 floor drop so not so good for small kids. Blankenburgh very nice, cheap train or bus to Bruge.

Overpriced room
Internet didn't work and staff claimed it did. They were very rude. Room is only cleaned every other day. Also reception is open very limited hours which at times was difficult. Room was average. Carpet was dirty and room very outdated.

Great location on the beach. No parking at the hotel, and it took 15 minutes to find a spot. Breakfast is expensive, 10 Euro each, so we went around the corner to a bread store and fed 5 for 7 Euro. Rooms were ok, but nothing great.

Great Location
WiFi is in the reception area only. Our kitchenette had a fridge, kettle, coffee maker. There was an electric hob with pans but no oven, microwave or toaster. Breakfast has to be booked and is 10 Euros each so we just went to the bakery each morning for fresh croissants etc. Reception is manned in the morning and the afternoon. Parking is an issue and I highly recommend parking at the train station car park. It is a 10-15 minute walk and I had to do this each morning to replace the ticket. 10 Euro's per day. I used the walk back to visit the bakery. There are nearer car parks but the market one can't be used on Friday and Monday and the one at the harbour had an event for two days so I had to move the car again. Blankenburge is a great place with lots of good restaurants. We took a train to Brugge for 6 Euro's each return. One stop and Blankenburge is the end of the line when coming back.

Nice stay. Breakfast needed a little more for the price as the buffet had nothing hot on it except coffee.

Nice hotel close to Brugge
We were only in the area for one night visiting Brugge and looking for a reasonably priced hotel nearby. This did the trick and was much cheaper than anything in Brugge. This was an apartment style hotel so nothing fancy but practical. We checked in after the reception had closed since it's not a 24 hour staffed hotel and when we called the check in number the night staff was prompt on getting us our key. In addition to this they had left a voice message with instructions to retrieve the keys after hours. Be prepared for this as I was not aware the reception was not staffed 24 hours so was a little concerned when I arrived but it worked out ok. Hotel is right on the beach front so very conveniently located.

The location of the hotel was great. The rooms could be slightly cleaner with tiled flooring instead of carpet. Also are light didn't work in the bathroom.

Value for money break
Good price, good location. Great friendly guy on reception. A good budget hotel to spend a few days, with many good restaurants close at hand. Fantastic beach on the doorstep and Bruges less than 10 miles away.

Nous avons apprécié la taille du logement, le balcon, la localisation, ainsi que l’arrivé autonome. Le seul petit bémol serait le coffre cassé à l’entrée qui contient la carte de la chambre et les canettes chaudes dû distributeur de boissons.

Die ganze Anlage ist etwas in die Jahre gekommen und sauber war es so mittelmäßig. Die Toiletten im Empfang waren extrem dreckig, ohne Klopapier... schon etwas eklig. Das Zimmer war aber ok, und die Lage echt super.

Great location, but could be better maintained
We travelled in low season and the price/quality was fine, but if you book here you should understand it is not perfectly maintained and it has it's quirks. Definitely try to book seaside view as you otherwise might be disappointed with the place.

Zeer slecht hotel !
Dit hotel was verschrikkelijk een gevaar voor de gezondheid. Zeer vies en onverzorgd hotel. Beddengoed kamer en badkamer erg vies, zelfs ongedierte. Zeer onvriendelijke en meestal onbestaande ontvangst zou hier niet eens meer verblijven voor 0,5 euro per nacht. Mijn advies boek hier niet!!!

Franchement l’état de la chambre catastrophique le lit n’a pas était fait , des serviettes mouillé sur le sol à mon arrivée sans oublier plein de sable dans la chambre . Des alcooliques restes devant le hall d’entrée et essaye de rentrer dans l’hôtel le soir. La sécurité zéro car il y en a pas ! Personne a l’accueil, aucun personnel de l’hôtel vu durant 3 jours !

Dit is geen aparthotel! grote teleurstelling!
We hadden een kamer geboekt met kitchenette, bad en 2 aparte bedden. We hebben hiervoor ook genoeg betaald. We kregen een hotelkamer met zeer vuile vloerbedekking, geen kitchenette, geen bad en geen 2 bedden. We hadden van alles mee om te koken en om heerlijk in bad te gaan... De vensters waren gigantisch vuil. Dit kan niet. We vragen dan ook om een FIKSE COMPENSATIE voor al dat ongemak. De conciërge, die enkel telefonisch bereikbaar was, vertelde dat ze enkel hotelkamers verhuren, ze zijn uitsluitend hotel, nochtans staat er in hun brochure dat er kamers zijn met kitchenette. Kortom, dit is ongehoord!

Zeer verouderde en vuile entree en hallen. Kamer was ook echt lelijk met vuile groene vloerbedekking. Ramen kon je niet naar buiten kijken. In het bed lagen haren en snoeppapiertjes van vorige mensen. In de douche waren roestvlekken. Latten uit lattenbodem lagen op de kast.... In de algemene hal lagen vuilniszakken, stonk heel erg. Zeker niet netjes. Bij aankomst geen enkele controle, kaartje werd zonder check aan mij gegeven, heel raar.

Zum Glück nur eine Nacht gebucht, mehr wäre nicht auszuhalten gewesen. Absolut furchtbarer Zustand. Sehr sehr dreckig, der Teppich alt und voller Flecken. Im Badezimmer Dreck und ein modriger, nach altem Rauch stinkender Stoffvorhang als Duschvorhang. Im Kühlschrank noch die Reste der Vormieter. Die Flure und Aufzüge dreckig und stinkend. Kein Personal anzutreffen. Einzig positiver Punkt die direkte Lage am Meer. Einmal und nie wieder.

Hotel spacieux bien situé vu sur mer
Séjour 1 nuit trés convenable. Hotel devant la plage, propre et spécieux. Dommage que nous ayons dû attendre 1 heure pour avoir notre accès car zlle n'était pas prête à l'heure indiquée. Attention pas de parking et assez compliqué de se garer. Faites attention si vous vous mettez sur la place il y a peut-être le marché le lendemain.

Bien pour une ou deux nuits
Appartement fonctionnel pour 4. Mais ne pas espérer pouvoir cuisiner dans l'appartement. Pas de hotte... Et le frigo ne fonctionne pas tres bien. Sinon l'emplacement est bon (sur la digue) et l'accueil est sympatique.
