“An excellent hotel at a good price!”

The hotel was in a good location and rooms, central areas and pool were all of a high standard and spotlessly clean! Wernigerode is a truely beautiful place and I hope to return at some stage and if so, I would seriously consider returning to this hotel. Watch out for the hotel parking charges which were not told about in advance and be sure to take your German phrase book as not much English is spoken throughout the town.

Visiting the Schloss is a must!

“Comfortable bolthole below the castle”

Fully refurbished medium size hotel, with luxury fittings and furnishings. One of the few hotels in central Wernigerode with own parking, only 3 minutes walk from the pedestrian zone. Pool and fitness centre not tested. Beautiful verandas/balconies with the view of castle and the abbating stream.

Traveller's tip

Do not take your breakafast in the hotel. Go to the nearby Burgstrasse Cafe & Bakery, where you get the most exquisite buffet style breakfast for only 4.95 euro.

“Schönes Hotel mit guter Lage”

Sauberes Hotel mit freundlichem Personal, großem Parkplatz (€ 5 am Tag). Man ist schnell im Zentrum, 5 min bis zum Marktplatz. Frühstücksbuffett sah sehr gut aus, wir haben allerdings in der Stadt in der Sonne gefrühstückt, da keine Außenplätze im Hotel.

Area recommendations

Stadtzentrum mit Fachwerkhäusern Umgebung: unbedingt Quedlinburg anschauen, Goslar und Erzbergwerk Rammelsberg sind auch sehenswert.

“Super Hotel kann ich nur Empfehlen”

Das Einschecken ging relativ einfach von Statten. Das Frühstück in dem Hotel Schlosspalais ist zwar sehr gut aber nicht unbeding 10€ Wert. Das Zimmer war jeden Tag Ordentlich geputzt, da gab es nichts auszusetzen.

Area recommendations

Ich würde Reisenden empfehlen, das Torfhaus auf dem Brocken zu besuchen. Dies liegt in der nähe von Braunlage. Dort kann man Rodeln und Skifahren für einen günstigen Preis. Einen ganzen Tag lang Ski-Langlauf kostet dort nur 15€.

“sehr schönes gemütliches Ambiente”

Das Hotel mit seinem charmanten Ambiente hat mich sehr positiv überrascht; auch das gemütliche Wellnessangebot hat dem geschundenen Wanderer sehr gut getan-sehr gute stadtnahe Lage
