"The perfect retreat from a busy world!"
I brought my teenage daughters here so that we could enjoy Leavenworth for a few days - and we ended up spending more time here than down in the town! It's beautiful, peaceful, quiet, slow. The rooms are visually rustic but extremely comfortable, there is wi-fi but no fridge, microwave, or tv, it's a resort not a hotel, and it's all designed to encourage you out of the cabin and into the outdoors. The walks are pretty, the mountains spectacular. There is a library to retreat to, with a piano, comfy couches, and books, of course. There's a game room with billiards and fussball for the kids (or the big kids). There's an outdoor pool that we had to ourselves most evenings, and next to it an outdoor hot pool (think large hot tub with no jets and a beautiful view of the stars at night). A dry sauna, and an on-site spa are right there if you get the chance to spend an hour or two being pampered, they do body wraps, massage, facials, for singles or couples or girls' day out groups, I got a mud wrap (my first ever) and it was very restful. We didn't eat here because we wanted to try so many places in Leavenworth, but there are food options on site, too. We will definitely be back, and I'm trying to convince my girlfriends to do a weekend here, I know a lot of people who could really benefit from the down-time.
