“May have to look into Vacation International”
Despite the construction going on next door, we loved the hotel and our room! The service was excellent, they even kept our leftovers in the fridge until we were ready to head for home. The bed was amazing, I wanted to take it home. The shower and bathroom were large and inviting. Great stay!
“My aching back.”
Walking through the door entering our room at Blackbird Inn everything looked delightful. And to our surprise--a private lanai! But then came bedtime. Ugh! The mattress was very hard and slanted to one side. To be able to stay on the bed my husband stuffed the extra bed pillows under the sheet along the edge of the mattress. There were no instructions telling how to work the DVD player and no one available at the front desk to help. Fifteen minutes of fumbling through key pads and several expletives later the movie began. Why? How? Who knows. This was a minor annoyance. The air conditioner is inside the room and runs very loud. The good news is there is air conditioning. We will definitely return to Blackbird Inn when the rooms are furnished with new quality mattresses. The location is excellent.
“Not Impressed”
The hotel did not honor requests to get more towels or other miscellaneous requests about concerns with the room. Basically the hotel staff ignored us while we were there.

Surprised their was no maid service. Took forever to get check-in. Breakfast did not start until 8:00. Was very disappointed from the last I had stayed there.

Blackbird Lodge is a Timeshare property. This is not listed on the website and so there is no indication this is not a regular hotel. They do not offer maid service unless you are staying 9 nights or longer. You will not receive additional toweles unless you wash the ones you have by using their laundry facilities or rent more from them. Not satisfied with the stay, especially not knowing the terms.
