Absolutely fantastic hotel staff. We arrived late into the night after the M was shut down because of a bad car crash. They happily opened the kitchen to fix us sandwiches since we were on the road all day Sunday and food was not easy to find after 6 pm. The major issue was the room itself. The furnishings need to be updated. The bed was hard as a rock with little padding and low to the floor. The pillows were thin and provided little support. The towels left lint all over your wet body like they were either brand new and had not been washed or they were falling apart.

Well located hotel
The public areas of the hotel are excellent. Very good bar food with excellent service. Was disappointed with our room. Furnishing was barely adequate. Bed was hard. No air con in the room, but there were noisy air conditioners on the roof right outside. On the other hand it was very well priced.

Found the family room very small, our room was above a function room where there was a party and very loud with 2 children in the room. The mug in the room had lipstick stains on it. The staff however were very friendly and courteous.

A most welcoming hotel
Had a great stay here with my wife and 3 young children. Every single member of staff we encountered were so friendly. It was an extremely warm weekend,so it would have been nice if the room had air con. I also had to leave my car outside of the hotel car park as it was full.

We had a lovely 5 day stay at this hotel. I selected this hotel because of its pool. My son certainly enjoyed swimming there in the mornings. All the staff were very helpful, nothing was ever too much trouble. Reception Staff, Leisure Facility Staff and Breakfast Room Staff..........in fact no matter whom we encountered working in the hotel, they always had a smile and a 'hello' for us. We had a very minor issue with the radiator in our room which was resolved by reception on the same day I spoke to them about it.........they even put an additional heater in our room should we require it. Food, room and hotel in general were all very good. We were very happy we booked to stay here and will return.

No wow!
Lacks a wow factor. The ceilings, walls, skirting, architraves, dado rails and some doors in the long corridors are all painted grey and the carpet is....... gray. Wall art or photographs are very scarce on corridors and non existent in our bedroom. Room was very comfortable

Bar menu is a joke, very little choice other than soup and sandwiches. Car park jammed every day...other than that nice clear hotel with good staff and service right on the quayside and a quick walk into town

Hotel not at it's best for our visit
Unfortunately we did not experience the hotel at it's best - it was a Saturday when the hotel was fully booked. A noisy wedding reception was being held at the hotel - some guests not returning to their rooms until 4.30 am - slamming doors and talking loudly. The hotel would benefit from a refurbishment - breakfast was fine. Hotel very close to the Waterford Crystal Centre.

The Tower hotel is well situated for traveling around Waterford. The rooms are comfortable, clean and well furnished. The breakfasts are great and the waitress serving them went out of her way to be pleasant and helpful. Unfortunately, the weekend that we were there, there were weddings on both evenings. A number of the guests arrived on the first floor and shouted and banged doors until after 5:00 am making sleep impossible for us. Requests to be quiet were ignored and they lounged about, sitting on the floor and on the table on the first floor. Although we did not call reception, we were surprised that no hotel staff either heard or intervened. We asked reception to try to move us, but they were unhelpful. I'd like to say that I would stay there again, but if outside guests are welcome to wander around the corridors, making a great deal of noise, I'd have to reconsider. We asked for a porter to help us carry our bags - he was sweeping at the time - we were told that when he was done, he would help. We did it ourselves. Easier than having someone do us a favor.

Excellent location but tired hotel
Firstly the location is excellent and the staff could not have been better. I had a very friendly lady at the reception desk. I only stayed one night but the rooms are looking a bit tired and need some freshning up. It is a standard 3* hotel in Ireland. The bed was big and comfortable but a new coat of paint would work wonders for the room. Breakfast was excellent so much choice and very tasty. Overall I would stay again when I factor in the value for money and location.

Hotel across from Port of Waterford
There was no air conditioning, even with the window open and two broken fans provided by management, hotel room was hot and stuffy. There were no plugs near the bed, they were all across the room. Hotel was able to provide an extension cord so my breathing equipment could be used during the night.

Great hotel, close to the city centre.
Overall very good, the room was very warm though; even with the heating off and window open.

Disappointing Leisure Facilities
Hotel is good overall, with good service, good size and well equipped room. Only had breakfast which was good. However, we booked with the view to using the hotel's leisure facilities. These facilities (or lack of?!) were very disappointing. The sauna was out of order (which were not informed of at anytime, until we had changed and tried to use. The jacuzzi had virtually no bubbles. The steam room was just a few green garden chairs thrown into a tiled small tiled room, which had virtually no steam. The changing rooms were very small and cramped. The showers only worked for a few seconds then switched off. The hand basins didnt work. However, the swimming pool was fine.

The hotel itself was fine. Reception staff lovely and housekeeping staff lovely. But our stay was very badly let down by the bar and waiting staff. We initially tried to have lunch in the bar. But after asking for menus, asking for someone to take our order and a wait of fifteen minutes and getting neither. We left. The bar that night was no better. As for trying to order a small bite to eat we gave up again and after three drinks went back up to our room. I have stayed in the tower before but was very dissatisfied with my stay this time round. Would think again about booking here.

We enjoyed being in downtown Waterford. Our main intent was to be able to enjoy some Irish music at a central place so we did not have to drive. There was a band at the hotel that evening and we checked early in the afternoon with someone in the bar to ensure that the music would be Irish traditional. We stayed for dinner and waited for the band knowing it would be full, to our great disappointment the band played Louisianna polka music. Their name was Polka 2 I believe, I had indicated this to the women earlier, she said no this band plays traditional Irish. We were very disappointed as this was our only night in Waterford.

Good Location
Stayed for two nights, staff very helpful, room was clean, car parking available. Leisure centre was good. Breakfast was fine. We had bar food on one evening - portions were very small. Hotel was close to centre of town and we went shopping one evening. We also visited Waterford Glass which is very close to the hotel.

Location and Staff
Across the street from the waterside, the location of this hotel is perfect. An easy walk to anywhere in town, including the Waterford Crystal factory, there is free parking, bar and restaurant, and lovely staff. The room is typically plain with no air circulation but a fan was brought to the room within minutes of my request. The bathroom was perfectly clean and modern and bright. Beds were comfortable. Although there are plenty of places to eat and drink nearby, the hotel’s in-house bar and restaurant are pleasant with good food, service, and prices. Although I didn’t use the fitness facilities, there’s a nice indoor pool and gym. The outstanding aspect of this establishment is the staff at the counter. They went out of their ways to help guide me where needed. Yes, I would highly recommend this hotel.

The staff are it's asset. Each and everyone of them were more than friendly and helpful. I found the beds hard and there was no place to relax also, as both chairs in the room were very uncomfortable. The toilet tissue was of pure quality as were the toiletries. I probably would stay again, but I would up-grade to a suite to see if that would make a difference. It is on,y a 3 star and is a good distance from a 4 star.

Rooms are good and clean but room service was not carried out for some reason. Towels replaced after asking. Not enough staff in the bar to do food and drinks in the evenings. Cooked breakfast is serve yourself from a hot buffett which has a ridiculous amount of lids to replace and remove. Queues quickly build up. Again not enough staff seem to be working in the breakfst room for tea and coffee requests.
