Pros: I like the overall look and feel as well as the location. The doormen were very helpful and nice.
Cons: Maybe adjust the water pressure for showering. The pressure could be more forceful.
Location: Union Station is a 5 min walk away as well as restaurants .
The staff was friendly, the food was excellent, the bed was very comfortable, and the water temperature for showering was great. I enjoyed my stay.

walking distance to union train station, close to walmart and museum. I would stay at this hotel again. Another Wi-Fi is free in the hotel lobby only not in the hotel's room

Seriously, this place was unpleasant as hell. My room had no airflow, the operator hung up on me when I was asking for the restaurant and she couldn't find it, the desk clerk faked being the manager and I am not sure I slept at all. Plus, I'm not a whiner, but for these dollars, a little assistance here and there and an A/C that worked would have been a delight.

April 18, 2015 - ! night stay with NO sleep.

Pros: We like the proximity to our son's university.
Cons: Yes, I would like a refund for the entire cost of our stay, in the amount of $319.45 due the noise from the air conditioner and our lack of sleep.
Location: We walked to visit the museums and local restaurants while visiting.
My husband and I as well as our family have stayed at The Washington Court Hotel over the last two years on at least three other occasions for one and two nights and had wonderful stays. Recently we stayed at The Washington Court Hotel on Saturday, April 18, 2015 for one night while visiting our son at a local university. The rate was over double the normal rate due to a World Bank Conference and our stay was ruined by the constant noise the air conditioner (relay switch) made during the night. Every time the air conditioner shut off it sounded like it was crashing through the ceiling. The noise kept waking us up throughout the night. When we checked out of the hotel on Sunday, April 19, 2015, I brought this to the attention of the management staff at the front desk. I told them that we were woken every time the air conditioner went off. The noise the air conditioner made was intermittent throughout the night and it kept waking us up all throughout the night. The staff told me that I should have had maintenance come up and fix the air conditioner. I told them it was the middle of the night and we did not want to be kept awake while waiting for the maintenance staff. The staff offered a $25.00 food credit or to upgrade our room on our next stay. Unfortunately, I am extremely dissatisfied with either the food credit or a room upgrade on our next stay and at this point do not think we will patronize the hotel. I would like a refund $319.45 for the entire cost of ou

Flawlessly efficient experience

Pros: It was my first time staying at the washington court hotel, yet I felt like I knew where everything was within two minutes of arrival.
Cons: Really didn't mind foregoing the king deluxe for two doubles with the early check-in, but I didn't appreciate the staff calling it an "upgrade."
Location: Quick walk to national mall. Museums 99% free, monuments free, lots of food to chose from, but do thorough dining research ahead of time.
Girlfriend and I checked into our room at 11am, even though our check-in was not supposed to officially start until 4pm. We forewent a king deluxe for two doubles with the early check-in. Didn't bother me. Comfortable, yet expensive valet parking. Parking in dc is simply expensive. Short walk to the National Mall. Didn't really spend much time at the hotel, but the room was cozy and clean. Woke up at 8am to respectably loud noises from the hall. Was treated with respect by all staff members.

Schönes Zimmer, unfreundlicher Check-in/Check-out

Das Hotel liegt ca. 5-10 Min. vom Capitol bzw. der Union Station entfernt. Für die Erkundung der Umgebung (Capitol und National Mall) ideal. Allerdings zieht sich dann doch der Weg bis zum Lincoln-Memorial, haben für den Rückweg dann die Subway genommen (einmal umsteigen) bis zur Union Station (toller, sehr sauberer Bahnhof) Wollten dort abends dann noch etwas essen und waren perplex, dass die Läden als auch die (Schnell-) Restaurants bereits um 21.00 Uhr schließen. Nur ein Chipole (mex. Schnellresaurant) hatte noch bis 22.00 Uhr auf - unser Glück :-)) Wir sind mit dem Mietwagen beim Hotel vorgefahren und wurden innerhalb Sekunden von 2 Angestellten umringt, die sofort das Auto ausgepackt haben (das ging so schnell, dass selbst Dinge, die wir nicht auf dem Zimmer haben wollten (großer Geträkevorrat) etc. schwupsdiewupp auf dem Gepäckwagen standen) und dann den Autoschlüssel verlangten, um das Auto zu parken (46,-- $/Nacht!) Der Check-in an der Rezeption war neutral bis unfreundlich, das Gleiche beim Check-out. Auf unserer ganzen Rundreise ist uns kein unfreundlicheres Rezeptionspersonal begegnet. Das Zimmer war schön, sauber und mit einem großen Badezimmer, da gibt es nichts zu bemängeln. Dass allerdings in so einem Hotel das kostenlose WLAN nicht im Preis enthalten ist, ist absolut schwach. Der WLAN-Zugang im Foyer, der kostenlos ist, war seeeehr schwach. Selbst in billigen Motels sind wir da besser bedient gewesen!
