“Over-rated”
This hotel was a disappointment. The sounds from the other floors and rooms traveled right through my room's walls. So I had no sleep, making for a miserable night's stay.
“Clean and stylish, maybe a little over the top, though”
Clean room and wasn't ever bothered by the cleaning staff despite a few late mornings. Didn't knock my socks off and I wasn't in the hotel much, but when I was, it was pleasant. TV was very annoying to control, however.
“Trip to DC”
We traveled to DC for my birthday. The hotel staff were friendly and very helpful---even sent up a treat on my birthday! I would recommend this hotel to everyone and will definitely stay again.
“Washington's hippest hotel”
Jazzed up the old Washingtonian. Great roof bar. Small room but very comfortable. Great products. Attentive staff.
“W Hotel Washington Dc”
Very nice hotel. location is great and service is excellent. would highly recommend this hotel.
“would stay again”
Clean and comfortable. Well located. Staff were all very friendly and helpful. Only negative was during my stay somebody started using an electric drill very early in the morning. This could have been someone in a neighbouring and attached building.
“Brilliant hotel for young professionals”
The hotel is ultra stylish and perfect for young people. While families should be aware that this is not a quiet hotel during the weekends, it provides a nice break from all day meetings.
“Nice hotel!”
First off...the staff was super friendly. As soon as we arrived they grabbed our bags and helped us to our room. The room was very comfortable and clean (it didn't have an amazing view...or any view really...however that didn't bother us) but it smelled kind of funny everytime house-keeping cleaned..There were always taxi cabs outside the hotel for transportation and if there wasn't, one of the valets would flag one down :) It's a beautiful city and a beautiful hotel. It is within walking distance of the federal triangle (smithsonian museums, WW2 memorial, Washington Monument...) The only complaints..............The POV bar on the roof had a really nice view at night but it was very crowded. On top of that the drinks were expensive and not worth the money spent. Room service breakfast for two was almost $100 and the food was only good, not great. Lastly, they charged us an extra $20 for buying something out of the mini-bar that we never bought! Overall, it is a nice hotel--a bit pricey but the location was perfect for sight-seeing and I would recommend this hotel..
“Location, Location, Location”
This hotel is near all the sites in DC -- just a short walk to the National Mall and monuments. Close to the Metro Station to visit other tourist site. The hotel restaurant food was excellent and the hotel rooftop bar provided a breathtaking view of the city. I can't wait to visit the W and Washington, DC again!
“DC Washington Hotel was Great!!”
The DC Washington Hotel was wonderful. Conveniently located to the museums and sites around DC. It was also close to restaurants and shops. We took advantage of the Acura car service and it was great. There was a DVD video presentation that only lasted about 30 seconds and there was no sales pitch. I also tried to tip the driver and he would not even take that!! The hotel was clean and safe and that staff was very helpful. I would highly recommend this property. The Expedia booking process was also very easy. We comparison shopped on other sites and had no problems.
