Lovely little hotel with friendly staff and service although the bar closes very early at 9.30pm. Not a modern, sterile hotel but an old build with lots of parking Fairly convenient for the White House and memorials and metro stations are fairly close too.

This property is indeed historic, as can be experienced via the lack of individual room control of heat. Pros: *the bed was extremely comfortable (extra blankets if needed in the closet) *bathroom was big, clean and had great pressure for the shower *hotel was able to help us upgrade the room (which was charged) *doorman was kind and helpful with luggage *king room was large space with a settee, and a desk with a chair *daily towels changed out and bed made *iron and ironing board in room *robes in closet Cons *inability to control the heat left us overheated at 84 degrees and rising-we had to turn off in the room (staff wouldn't give straight answer on us not being able to control the heat in our room) can increase but not lower. *no ability to open windows for breeze either *checkin was super slow staff seemed inexperienced and confused (reported that i got free upgrade when i returned a few hours later to check on room to checkin when i had paid for it and spent over 20 mins working with same staff to get the upgrade) *no tea available at all, no water/coffee station for guests * daily towels changed out and bed made (trash left) *breakfast available for a cost *hotel bar closes before 10pm *half the outlets in the room did not work to include the lamp usb ports *no fridge or microwave in the room *limited hangers in the closet *no dresser or place to put clothing Special cherry blossom tea offered that included regular tea/pastries for $70 seemed overpriced

Was moving to dc and had to book a hotel a day prior. Staff was wonderful but the hotel was overbooked when I came late into the evening. I called the morning of our 8 hr drive to ensure everything would be ready in the late evening. We were told we had to go to a different property when we got there then we’re told we could stay at the alternate property both nights… around 12 pm the next day, they called us and said we had to check out and move everything to the previous hotel. If we weren’t up so late figuring things out with the hotel, we would’ve left early to handle our apartment issues. Thank god we didn’t leave because it would’ve been hell to go back from the water front to transfer hotels for the second time. The first hotel accommodation was okay until we pulled back the decorative cover and saw short black hair all over ( neither of us have short black hair) so off putting. The original place we booked (Henley) was clean and historic! So it made up for it a bit.. It was a very frustrating experience but I’m glad they did their best to fix it. Management just needs to straighten themselves out. The woman at the front desk (couldn’t catch her name) was a lovely ray of sunshine during a stressful time, all the love to her!

This hotel is part of American historical society with unique characteristics and charm. It’s very clean and very friendly staff. The only downside is the outside noise and when the furnace kicks in it’s very loud(remember it’s an old building). All in all very nice stay.

It’s a beautiful boutique hotel with lots to do and see within walking distance. Bed was large and comfortable. Staff was friendly and accommodating. Glass that was “clean” had residue and grime in it. Bathrooms were outdated. Shower had no pressure. Walls were thin so you could hear banging, other people’s showers, etc.

Person at check-in desk was very helpful and professional. Bellhop was very nice and helpful. He went out of the way to get me ice when I asked him. Personnel at check out offered to hold out luggage while we attended a scheduled event in the area.

I am usually happy with this hotel. However, this trip was not pleasant. I booked this hotel because they offered a complimentary car charger. It would not work and the hotel or the parking garage were not able to help. So I incurred the cost of parking and still had to pay for a car charger offsite. The shower knob broke and I couldn’t take a shower until the next day. Woke up for the 7am appointment for the engineer to come and fix and it and they only came at 8am after I called again. Went back to sleep only to wake up to housekeeping opening the door on me… twice. Not a great stay. But the valley guys and the morning check in staff was very friendly and helpful

Recently stayed at this hotel ! My partner and I were in town for Burna Boys concert. Overall staff was phenomenal. Room was exceptionally clean and surrounding area was great. However controlling the temperature of the room was confusing which caused me leaving congested being that it was so cold in the room.

The hotel was great. The staff was pleasant and helpful. It was a nice stay. The only issue was that there was event with politicians across the street, so the road noise at night was almost unbearable.

Absolutely perfect! Walkable to nearby museums, Capital Center, restaurants, and shopping. The Henley has their own restaurant and bar which I like. The restaurant graciously accommodated my request for oatmeal to go with iced tea after breakfast was finished being served. The rooms were lovely, well appointed and spacious. We would stay there again.

Im afraid this gem of a hotel may outprice itself, but if you are looking for beautiful cherry trees, a comfy bed and privacy, close to convention center, this is the best find. Stayed 5 nights. So convenient.

This is a well maintained, older property across the street from an annual conference I attend held at the Marriott Marquis. We discovered this hotel in an effort to save a few dollars, which usually ends up being about half the conference hotel’s room rate. The rooms are clean and staff is friendly and helpful. I have stayed here every time since I discovered and will stay there again.

Though an older hotel, the Henley Park is clean and the staff are very helpful and kind. It is quiet. The in-house restaurant offers good food.
