Very happy with our stay at Henley Park.

Posted 18-Nov-2014
Pros: Romantic boutique hotel with nice room amenities.
Cons: Most staff was very helpful.
Location: Pretty quick walk or easy metro ride to many of your main visitor sites.
Our first visit to D.C. and we were very pleased with our stay at the Henley Park. Very comfortable corner room with wet bar, coffee maker, fridge. Very clean. Staff was helpful and pretty close to all the action. We recommend it and will be back.

Clean and Comfy!

The Henley Park Hotel was just as described! It was modest, but very nice, clean, and the staff was very helpful! It was a perfect location for seeing a concert and not too pricey!

Good location, great service

Posted 11-Nov-2014
Stayed here 4 nights for a business meeting located at the Convention Center. Delightful alternative to the bustling large chain hotel across the street. Has the feel of European hotel from the moment I walked into the lobby. Loved the comfortable bar and restaurant - very good food especially breakfast. Staff and service was exceptional. Room and bed was very comfortable and quiet. Would definitely recommend to others.

Convenient to everything.

Posted 11-Nov-2014
Pros: Older, not a cookie cutter place.
Cons: Bar was closed for a private party. Would have liked to had a drink there.
Location: The hotel was close to our son's place. It was convenient to restaurants.
Check in was easy, room was small but nice. We were glad we could drop off our car and not have to worry about parking. We would have liked to have had a drink in the bar but it was closed for a private party.

Nice hotel close to attractions and nightlife

Posted 08-Nov-2014
check in was fast and easy, the room was clean and comfortable, museums and attractions were in walking distance (although I do suggest wearing sneakers because of walking back and forth to attractions and around museums). The parking is not free which sort of sucks but there is some other parking around especially on weekends. I parked on a street near the hotel for the whole weekend and was fine. The staff was ok, seemed a little detached and I did lose a scarf and was not called back about it when I left my info but overall staff was not rude.

Henley Park is a beautiful hotel, and my room was clean, light and comfortable. The hotel has free wi-fi, however, there wasn't a convenient place to plug in the machine, and no table on which to set it. Consequently, my laptop really did sit on top of my lap, and that wasn't ideal. My only other comment is that the common areas are worn and could use some attention.

Henley full of charm

Posted 02-Nov-2014
Pros: Old,but very nicely redone, features very beautiful, antiques in wating room.
Cons: A little more help checking out(had to wait for car, because only one employee getting them at prime checkout time.Dining room short on help too.
Beautiful small hotel, charming,in a city short on charm. Beautiful,if small room(standard),all the plusses, nice bath, very clean! Had friends over who were staying at the Mariott, and they said their room was larger, but "cold",ours was so "warm feeling". Our stay was quiet, only one night. No problems.\\

Classic Hotel

Posted 28-Oct-2014
The Henley Park is a beautiful smaller hotel. (96 rooms if I remember correctly) Nicely decorated, very clean, shower had great waterflow. Wish I had been staying longer. Only negative is city noise, which is nothing they can control.

A special night

Posted 24-Oct-2014
Pros: see above
Cons: Maybe a small frig to keep my snacks, drinks cold
Location: The location is great. I walked to the National Archives, the Washington Monument, Lincoln Memorial and Reflecting Pool.
I only stayed at the Henley for one night. Everyone was very helpful and guided me to my destinations: the Verizon Center, Ford's Theatre, and good places for lunch. I was able to walk to my sites of interest, so that saved me taxi fare or waiting for buses. My room was a single, which saved me a little money, and it was very elegant and attractive. Amenities included bottles of fresh water, shades drawn in the evening, lovely bathrobe, and an umbrella, which came in handy. Next time I will plan to eat in the Henley's dining room. I heard the meals are delicious.
