I liked the location and all staff friendly and helpful. It’s fantastic that you’re pet friendly. My only criticism is the shower water pressure in the room we had wasn’t very good. All in all great stay

Love the location very walkable. Also, the front desk staff was super nice. I panicked when I couldnt find my wallet. She helped me stay calm and was really sweet. However.... I paid for a specific room but was put in a different one. When I went to the desk to notify i was told that they could not refund the difference. Thats very unacceptable

We stayed for two nights and the first night our room was backing on the elevator - had to move rooms the next day. No sleep and my son was there for a soccer try out. Staff didn't care and acted like it happens all the time. The best thing about the hotel was the vallet parking - they were nice and helpful. Won't stay again.

I stayed at the Ven in November 2023 - I pre-paid my stay through Expedia. Parking was included in the price. At Check Out, I advised the front desk and they took the parking off my final bill. However, after I checked out I was billed. I’ve called the Ven three times - two times got voicemail from their accounting office and once spoke to a front desk manager who said they would get back to me. No one has. Not only are they overcharging me, but they can’t even return a call. Disappointing - do not recommend.

Lobby area is great however the room itself was quite run-down. Bathroom is just flat out dated - no frills, nothing spa like or refreshing about it. There is also no countertop surface area to place items in the bathroom, ladies, theres no way you're gonna do your makeup in there. Mirror in the bathroom was also pitted pretty bad and a corner of the glass cracked/broken off. Due to the complete lack of storage area in the bathroom, the towels are stored in a little fake wood nightstand thing under the sink that looks like something I had in college and the towels smelled as a result. HVAC system was incredibly loud and didn't maintain temperature. Lastly, the receptacles built into the nightstands are so worn out that the items plugged in would fall out. If they stayed in, they had to be wiggled just right in order to make them work - even then, they'd quit working after a bit, followed by some crackling sounds. I ended up plugging all of my items in on the desk to ensure they'd be charged in the morning. For what I paid for this hotel, I'm extremely disappointed. Don't make the same mistake I did - pick another hotel nearby.

The at times the ventilation system was noisy with vibrations, during a cold snap the air was extremely dry causing a nose bleed and dry throat. Not a problem in the warmer months otherwise could use humidifiers. Overall a great place to stay.

Location is great. Close to some shopping and lots of restaurants around that are walkable. Staff is very friendly. Only issue was i dint get my upgraded room and my room was very small and washroom was tiny. Could barely fit 2 people in the washroom. Ac/heater was very loud ( i beleive it was the heater) turned on in the middle of the night and sounded like someone was banging on the wall and woke me and wife up.

Wonderful stay along embassy row
The staff were excellent and very helpful. The room was clean and well appointed. Our city view room was directly across from the Indonesian embassy and that was quite the delight! We loved that we could open our windows for fresh air and to hear the city sounds. Breakfast was wonderful.

My Wife and I took our daughter down to Washington to stay two days. The staff was very accommodating and super friendly. The room was perfect, and views are kool. Close to just about everything you need to see.

Love the area around the Ven! DuPont Circle is vibrant and fun. The Ven staff is unmatched in quality of service, responsiveness, personality, kindness, always going out of their way to help. Love the lobby and restaurant area! I love this hotel.

Lovely stay
We had a lovely stay at this hotel. Our room was spacious and quite clean, however we had some trouble with the plugs - mainly that plugs had to be inserted or held in a particular position for our mobile phones to charge or for the hair dryer to work. The bed was very comfortable but smaller than expected for a double bed. We had a lovely view from our room and a TV. Location is very good and close to the metro. The reception staff were lovely, approachable, knowledgeable and very polite. Shout out to Ele for providing us with some refreshments while we waited for our taxi on our departure. Would recommend and stay at this hotel again!

The hotel was clean and in a great location. The staff, especially at the front desk was mediocre and were happy to let you know how short staffed they were (I had to find a member of the house keeping staff to make up my room at 5:30pm!)
