“Great location”

Convenient location close to Capitol Hill and metro station. Hotel has been renovated. Very comfortable bed.

“Great location”

This hotel is not new and fancy but it was clean and comfortable. We appreciated the free breakfast and cofee service beginning at 6 AM. We had our dog with us and they were very pet friendly.

“Very nice affordable Capitol hill hotel”

Got a great weekend rate. Nice roomy room with kitchenette. Good wine bar around the corner. Very nice stay.

“great location”

Can't beat the location here. Only problem was a defective tv. We had to complain twice and have guy come look at it. Were told by the tv tech guy that the tv in this room was a continual problem. If so, why not just replace it? Staff is very friendly and welcoming--even to our dog.

Area recommendations

Definitely love Capitol Hill for tourist sites, shops, restaurants and convenience but we also like the Dupont Circle neighborhood.

“Great place and location”

We stayed 3 nights at the Capitol Hill Suites. It was really nice and close to the Supreme Court and Capitol, and it is a two minute walk to a Metro stop. The Metro is on the blue line so you could ride it straight in from the airport and straight to the Smithsonian museums and the National Mall. We stayed in the smallest and cheapest room, and I was surprised at how large the room was. There was a mini-fridge and sink with dishes and silverware, a desk, and two chairs. It was plenty of room for my wife and I. The neighborhood around the hotel is great. It feels very DC with a combination of row houses and government offices. There is a nice church across the street. We walked around at night and the roads surrounding the hotel are nice and well lit. There are several restaurants around the block from the hotel. They are all pretty causal, but the places we are were very good. I would highly recommend the hotel. It is a great value.

“Comfortable hotel”

Loved the view of red-leaved trees and the lighted pillarsof the LOC outside my windows. Clean comfortable room. Great bed!! Wonderful breakfast. Wish there were more (SOME) counter space in the bathroom for safety when I remove/put in my contact lenses.

The immediate neighborhood is a little sketchy, BUT 2 blocks from Metro, 10 min. walk to Eastern Market with great restaurants/bars, easy walk to the Mall.

“Sadly Lacking Customer Care in a Great Location”

I can be brief: 1. There was no hot water two of three nights. Management whispered its always that way when the hotel is full. 2. Four of us were trapped in an elevator for 15 minutes or so. We could hear the staff outside puzzling what to do whtn we were told maintenance was going to the roof to reset the elevator and free us. Thankful that worked. 3. Paid $32 for valet parking and had smash and grab thieves break windows and loot my car and one other. Cars were in Capital Hill Suite Location and helpful DC Patrolman showed me the reports that this happens every other Friday night. Capital Hill Suites response was, shall we say, muted. They are aware of all these issues and made no attempt to right the discomfort and damages. I wish they had least offered me a candy bar while I stood outside in the snow for three hours waiting for the glass man I had located to get there.
