“Convenient to Fex Ex field and Metro to game”

We were looking for a place to spend the night before the Army Navy game at Fed Ex field. The staff was very friendly and they provided a free shuttle to the Metro stop. They even let us keep our car in the lot while at the game, even though we had already checked out. Very helpful and accomodating staff. Minuses were the mattresses (ugh) and no restaurant on site.

“Very convenient hotel”

This hotel has a very good (quality+location)/price tradeoff. There is a free shuttle available to get you to the metro station that takes you to Washington DC ($4.25 one way). We called just before arriving at the station and they came to pick us up, so we were very pleased with the service. We also had a problem with the toilet, we called the reception and they came in 10 min to fix it. The room was spacious and they had breakfast availabe (not too fancy but convenient). In the neighborhood, within walking distance, you can find fast food restaurants and a supermarket.

“Expensive for Old Hotel, but wasn't horrible!”

It is an old hotel. The location was not bad because it was only 4 minutes driving from the metro station where we could park and ride the metro to downtown DC. ($4.25 to park all day) The hotel room was clean, but again, it looked 25 years old. We paid over one hundred a night and this is pretty high for what it looked like. If you book two weeks in advance online, you can find a hotel downtown DC for cheaper!

“nice hotel/ inconvenience to tourist”

Hotel was nice and staff was friendly and welcoming. The room was specious, clean and the wifi was extremly fast. Only complaint about the room was the bed and pillows were uncomfortable. The complimentry breakfest would compare to most resturants. But the hotel is definatly out of the way of washington dc. If you are there to sight see I would recommend getting a hotel closer to the attractions.

Area recommendations

Speaking to other tourist I would recommend staying in the center of the attractions. It would be worth the extra money to not have to submit to the schedule or risk of the metro. Plus the commute is about 45 minutes one way from the hotel to the smithsonians.

“Great for the price”

I stayed at this hotel at the end of my visit to DC to meet a business colleague. It is about a 30 min metro ride from the Captiol area of DC but a very easy ride. The hotel is about a mile from the Metro station and easily reached by taxi but you can call the hotel and they will send a shuttle. I didnt travel late at night but it may be a problem to travel after 9:00PM to the hotel from the Metro station. The hotel is easily acessed from nearby interstate highways if travelling by car. Compared to hotel prices in DC area the hotel is very reasonably priced and worth the travel although Metro prices and taxi costs could eat into the savings. I found the hotel staff to be very friendly and helpful and the rooms were clean and adequately furnished. The breakfast provided was considered a hot breakfast but very basic. There are no other dinning facilities in the hotel nor is there "in-hotel" laundry available but there is a good laundry across the street. This hotel compares to moderate hotels in Europe. It has a modern minimalist decor. The neighborhood is middle class with grocery, pharmacy and fast food restrauants, including a Starbucks. I found that travel to Washington DC, Dulles airport was long and expensive but access to Washington DC, Reaganairport is easily done from the Metro. The best airport for this hotel maybe the Washington BMI but I did not check on travel access.

“Good hotel, but not perfect”

Overall quite happy with the room, which is the most important for me. Location is good, although Google map misplaced this place. Two areas of improvement: asked for a wake up call, never came. Breakfast is free but is really bare bones.

“Best price, Best condition!!”

My family and I was satisfied with this hotel. Disadvantage of this hotel is only far from downtown of Washington D.C. But lots of shopping malls and restaurants are near this hotel. Free morning buffet is reasonable.
