“coffee in the bathroom”
the staff was helpful, the room was clean but it smell musky. the biggest pet pea i had was the coffee pot in the bathroom it's no place for it.
“Really nice stay”
Cost-effective
“Not bad, not great”
You get what you pay for. My boyfriend and I were on a budget vacation and we got a great deal at this hotel. It's not in a great location and it's not very conveniently located to pretty much anything. It wasn't extremely clean (there were hairs on a few towels and one on the ceiling in the bathroom), there was a lightbulb and cover missing in the bathroom, and the cable was shoddy. The hotel was in some disrepair, but it wasn't disgusting. The bed was comfortable and the room was clean, other than the bathroom. Honestly, for the price, it was fine. If you plan on spending most of your time outside the hotel, stay here. You CAN walk to the Metro in about 15 minutes IF you have good directions, and the University of Maryland: College Park campus is also within walking distance. Overall, not terrible, but if you're finicky, don't stay here.
“Won't go back”
This hotel is pretty awful. The receptionist is ensconced behind a plastic slider window which she didn't open. She was not welcoming. The hotel was poorly maintained and not good value for money. Will not stay here again.
“Pretty bad place”
I reserved the place through Expedia because it seemed to be the best price/location in the DC metro. Plus they offer parking and free wifi (forget about breakfast, it's junk). I was asked to pay in advance without an option to cancel. Don't be fooled. The place sucks. It's in a dodgy neighborhood. The service is pretty indifferent. There is a pretty severe stickiness to the carpets. Locks are semi-functional. Sometimes they work sometimes they don't. It's worth paying $20 a day extra for a better option.
“Good enough for the price”
Staff was extremely helpful. Housekeeping was good except the carpet needed shampooed, made the mistake of walking around with white socks. The room was bigger than expected. Wi-fi was great. The a/c didn't work too well. It close enough to the attractions in D.C. I wasn't expecting anything extravagant for the price. The beds were comfortable, matress & boxspring were on the shabby side as far looks. It was ok for the price. I stayed for 3 nights. Most importantly, I didn't see any bedbugs! I always check for that before bringing in my bags & belongings to any hotel/motel.
“Pretty rough”
The oild HoJo's has seen better days. Its ugly and uncomfortable. The guy at the desk was real nice but stay away from this one.
“Decent stay”
The hotel itself wasn't really an issue, the staff was the issue. Apparently it is impossible for the night shift to give you extra pillows or towels; only the manager(who was never really there) has the authority to release the pillows from their Fort Knox storage unit. The Morning staff was able to provide us with pillows and towels and was much more attentive.
“Highly recommend”
We stayed there for 9 nights. The room is very clean and neat especially the bathroom. Although the breakfast has not much choice, it is nutritiously balanced. The hotel people are very friendly and helpful. If we visit DC again, we will go back.
“Great location For University Events”
We stayed overnight .It was near theuniversity Clean & they fed us a continental breakfast So we could be on the road early Very convenient
