God Hotel, decent location, Not so friendly staff

This is the second time we have stayed at the Rouge. It id a cute boutique hotel that's within walking distance of walk the metro, circulator, and even the Whitehouse. The staff are somewhat smug and not nearly as friendly as the other Kimptons. My daughters and I love Kimptons but this one is not as welcoming for kids. No typical Karma options. It's still worthwhile if you want a good location and travel without staff volunteering the niceties as the other Kimptons. This one, you will have impose upon yourself to request things and be questioned as to why you would like an extra pillow. (Humm, because I would like one?)

Good location for getting around the city.

Pros: Location and room rates.
Cons: Coffee pot and a microwave would have been helpful,
Location: Near some of the points of interest.
Overall the hotel experience waaaaas very good. The staff was very friendly and knowledgeable about the city and its attractions.

Good location, clean, big rooms, friendly staff, coffee and water at the lobby at all times, close to restaurants, near metro station

Modern Hotel & Central Location

It was perfect. The staff was courteous and supportive. If you are focused on working out while there, ask for the YMCA pass as the hotel gym is quite small. Our room was modern and we had a great view.

Pros: The design of the hotel and the rooms. Nice and friendly staff
Cons: The menu in the hotel
Location: Went to the capitol, the mall, museums, and the white house. Also, China town and enjoyed riding the subway
Wonderful time at the hotel, the staff was friendly and helpful. Location close to downtown and accessible to most of the tourist site. I would recommend this hotel to any friends for business or entertainment purposes. When I cone back to DC, it will be the hotel that I reside in......

Washington D.C vacation

Very nice hotel in the middle of D.C walking distance to all of the sights. Friendly and accommodating staff. Suites are really nice with bunk beds and Xbox for the kids. Overall a really nice place to stay. Will come back.

Pros: location
Cons: have the bar open in the afternoon
Location: starbucks and whole foods nearby
It was excellent; desk staff was particularly helpful in getting me a room as quickly as possible.

Good location/average hotel

Pros: The location was a 10 minute walk from the Metro, 20 minutes to the White House and a short walk to little coffee houses and restaurants.
Cons: The room decor needs to be updated.
Location: Restaurants on 17th above O Street and 14th and Rhode Island. If you've got the time, Embassy Row is fairly nearby as well as the White House.
The hotel was just a few blocks from nice little restaurants on 17th and 14th Streets. The hotel room looked a little old with a mirror covering a locked door and no drawers in the room itself. There was a chest of drawers in the dressing area (which had no light), but the door to the bathroom didn't close well and there was a small leak from the toilet. Otherwise, the room was comfortable and the shower itself was great. We got a deal from Expedia, so that made it worth while. The staff was professional as well.
