“Definitely going back!!!”
Beautiful hotel in the perfect location! Everyone was so friendly and welcoming! The room was huge and so clean. I couldn't have asked for anything better.
“Great Stay”
Nice hotel, great staff and a great location. Quiet and comfortable.
“A really good solid hotel”
Hotel Monticello - I had spent a full day looking for the right hotel. I found the right one. It is not the most modern hotel but the king suite I had the bedroom / bathroom / lounge / and a writing desk area. There was a tv in the bed area and another in the lounge area. The staff I found to be first rate and they were ready to help with any questions asked of them. They were extremely friendly. The hotel has a business suite with PC / Printer / Photocopier and as a leisure customer I was allowed access. My personal choice was to vacate it if a business customer needed to use it. The Continental breakfast was fine with cereals / Bread to toast / begels / Pastries / fruit / Jams and basic cheese plus Coffee / Tea and juices. The hotel is about 30 metres from M Street and another 10 Metres from the Circulator bus system. $1 into DC itself. As is general with Washington there are the odd Beggars on M street but they are away from the Monticello. They are not agressive. There are a good range of restuarants locally. There is even Starbucks and Subway. Although M street is busy Thomas Jefferson St is relatively quiet. They provide the Washington Post free daily but you have to pay for the Sunday edition which is fine. Although you should book out of the hotel by 12 noon they stored my bags for me until the shuttle bus picked me up at 2pm. The staff were deep cleaning carpets over the weekend I was there. The hotel carries a range of tourist maps you can take.
“Always stop at Monticello when in Georgetown”
Excellent hotel, very cosy, clean and quite, located in the heart of Georgetown. Staff is very polite and friendly. I've stayed in this hotel 3 times and every time had a very good impression.
“Nice hotel”
The location is perfect.
“Great hotel in a great location!”
We were thrilled with our stay at this hotel. Great location with lots of fun things to do in a short walking distance. All the major embassies are close by if you have business there. If you are a National Park lover, this hotel is convenient to the Old Stone House, the Canal, and Rock Creek Park, and close to all the major DC Parks. There is a bus that is cheap and convenient that stops at the end of the block and runs throughout the city.
“A real gem - loved it!”
The Hotel Monticello was just great - a real gem. It is situated in Georgetown close to lovely restaurants and shops. The 'Circulator' stop is at the corner - $1 will get you a quick trip into Washington. If you are feeling energetic it is a pleasant walk. The room was lovely - very comfortable, spacious and clean. A continental breakfast is included and the staff were efficient and helpful (especially the very friendly doormen!). We would happily recommend this hotel and will stay there again on our next visit to Washington.
“Convenient location”
Convenient location, friendly and helpful staff, but the rooms need renovation.
“Pleasant/Great Location”
Had a wonderful time, staff was greeted us when we returned. Nice locations, close to many fine restauratns, and wlaking distance to teh Metro.
“Charming hotel, great location”
Although the street was under construction, this was a great find in Georgetown. I had a suite with a sitting area and TV,plus a small kichenette setup which I didn't expect. The breakfast option was somewhat limited, but it's better than nothing (coffee, juice, some fruit, danish and cereal) and it was included.
