“great location”

i enjoy staying here because of the convience to the metro and union station,,employees are helpful, seven eleven is next door,five guys is across the street..walking distance to a few popular nightclubs,, i will stay here again and have stayed here a few times before...price is average to those throughout the city,,the room was very comfortable and roomy...

“Fantastic hotel in a not-so-fantastic neighborhood”

Really liked the hotel. Staff was excellent. Neighborhood is just a tad bit sketchy. Security or police are everywhere - in the 7-11, Five Guys, on the street and in the hotel. We felt safe inside the hotel, but wouldn't travel outside at night.Neighborhood appears to be a neighborhood in transition (improving). Hope the transition happens quickly because hotel is very clean, very comfortable and staff is terrific.

Area recommendations

Northwest Quadrant is where I would recommend.

“Great hotel on the Redline”

Hotel is new and in great condition and is conveniently right next to the Redline. Service was excellent from front desk to doormen and valet. Our room was beautiful with floor to ceiling windows, couch, chair, desk and fridge. Modern decor and comfortable quality bedding. Only draw backs were that the indoor heated pool is only 3 ft. deep and wasn't very warm, and it is valet parking only which was an additional charge per day.

“would definitely recommend”

We really enjoyed our stay here, the staff were very friendly and helpful, the room was very nicely furnished, it had a fridge and a coffee machine, the gym/fitness facilities were pretty good too. Great location, right next to the subway in a safe area. There is a 7-11 downstairs and a few food places around. Only complaint was that the indoor pool could have been a bit warmer. Would definitely recommend this place.

“Loved My Stay”

The location was great, the train stop New York Ave is one stop away from Union Station where my bus from NY arrived/departed from. Right next door is 7 Eleven, Au Bon Pain and across the street a Five Guys and Pita Store. The service was awesome and the hotel was very clean. I loved my stay and would continue to stay at this location for my future trips to D.C.

Area recommendations

Definitely Check out Chinatown and Dupont Circle for food and drinks.

“Anna”

No Parking, groung floor like a Police enterence reather than a hotel enterence. Extreamly difficult to get around. GPS ereally doesn't work here, you must use a difference address. staff fine, room good. .

All DC highlights. Be prepared to empty purse and pockets like an airport to all Gevernment buildings. My lady had to throw away her perfume if she wanted to go into the Capital building.

“Best Location”

This is the best bang for the buck! You cannot beat this location since it is right next to the Red Line (just remember, no drink or food allowed on the metro or in the station). The hotel staff is really nice. I always felt safe coming and going at night. There's not much to do in the general neighborhood that I found, but you are one stop away from Union Station. The room was extremely nice and comfortable. The food and coffee in the lobby is good if you don't feel like going out or want to eat while unpacking. I'm going back to D.C. by the end of the year and am staying here, and have already recommended this hotel to my family and friends.

“FOOD”

ONLY FAST FOOD WAS NEAR THE HOTEL THE FOOD SERVICE AT THE HOTEL WAS SLOW BUT WAS GOOD. HOTEL WAS VERY CLEAN.

“Close to Metro”

This hotel isn't in the greatest of neighborhoods (mostly government buildings etc...) but is VERY close to a Metro station...about 200 feet from the front door. It's new and well-maintained and definitely worth the price if you don't mind having to take the subway a few stops to get to the nicer/touristy parts of the city.

Area recommendations

Everyone knows the obvious places in DC, but I always recommend out of town travelers check out National Cathedral and Eastern Market (on the weekends). They're both a little off the beaten path, but well worth it.
