When I arrived from out of town, i noticed a garage full sign. The man coordinating the valet drivers told me that I should look for on the street parking because they had 2 weddings going on and that the guest paid for parking to attend the events. I informed him that I was from out of town and needed to garage parking....after telling him I would contemplate canceling my room a parking spot became available. The inside staff was very nice and helpful, but the guy trying to coordinate the valet area was slightly rude.
The Hilton next to Dulles is an exquisite hotel. Some opportunities:
1. The staff did not inform where breakfast is going to be at check-in
2. Being informed about breakfast not being included would have helped and the typical cost of breakfast before hand to evaluate options.
3. The elevator has a broken mirror wall that has been patched up with tape - not sure if being fixed but it does ruin brand and imagery. Attending to these matters asap is a must.
We only stayed in Washinton one night and two days. We came to see the monuments and the sites in Washington. We wish we had scheduled more time to stay - because we wanted to just hang around the house and grounds. My sweetie and I loved the William Lewis House and we would recomend it to our friends. It was warm, friendly, comfortable and relaxing and the staff was very accomodating. A free glass or two of wine at happy hour was there waiting for us to help us unwind to make us feel at home. Breakfest was great home made food. It was a perfect stay on our long motorcycle trip from Buffalo, NY.to Gettesburg, PA to Washinton DC and return.
An older hotel, but it has been renovated and kept up to date. The breakfast was ample with waffle maker, cereal , fruit, and a daily hot item like breakfast burritos. It is centrally located and made it easy to get to many of the sights. It is not a grand hotel, but definitely nice and at a very good price for the area. The staff was very accommodating and never rushed us out at the end of breakfast. They were pleasant and always ready to help with any request. Can't beat the price with the free parking.

Owner was very pleasant. Location convenient. Delicious generous breakfasts allowed us to skip lunch each day. Can't beat the experience of a comfortable bed and breakfast to relax in in the center of the city hub bub
This was One of the best hotels I have stayed in! Maybe in the top 3!! Great attention to detail, I couldn't believe how good the breakfast buffet was. I haven't slept that comfortable in years, great bed!! The staff was probably the most friendly I can remember. The price definitely sealed the deal, I probably will always look for the Holiday Inn express, when I stay anywhere from now on!!
The hotel amenities, staff and the food (breakfast and drinks included in the price) were all very nice. The omelettes were excellent. 5 minute walk to Spring Hill metro station. Hard to beat in this class of hotel for the price and facilities. Highly recommended.
We enjoyed the non smoking atmosphere and the wonderful staff who provided hot/cold breakfast for us each day. The hotel was only a short walk from the Metro in Crystal city and shopping was available. We got senior metro passes and found that a rental car was never needed. Can't say enough about how gracious the staff and room attendants were.
The courtesy shuttle was a real plus for us! Thank you all!
