Beautiful surroundings

Lovely hotel and great to see Walton Hall and it's grounds. Pool and complimentary spa facilities were ok but nothing special. Very quiet and comfy bed so good sleep was had even by an insomniac! Breakfast typical buffet with accommodating staff. All clean and fresh.

Impressive buildings and location

Posted 16-Aug-2014
Pros: We were offered help with taking luggage to room. The bed was comfortable, the air con unobtrusive. Breakfast was good.
Cons: Within hotel signage was inadequate. Reception was very difficult to find. We wandered through 2 bedroom blocks before we located it.
Location: Beautiful setting in rolling countryside, mature lime trees lining the drive. Only stayed overnight , so no recommendations re activities
Directions on site advise a more difficult route from M40 than necessary. Shower knob was missing and so we could not shower. A bath was possible and on complaining on our way to breakfast we were, in all fairness, offered a shower in another room.

Wonderful setting

Pros: Setting of the hotel make it stand out & the views from the wedding reception room were glorious. Well kept gardens & friendly staff
Cons: The ladies cloakroom used by wedding guests was a touch out of date
Location: Not far from Leamington Spa and Warwick and a great place to stay for exploring Stratford and the cotswolds.
We attended a family wedding in the old hall, whilst our accommodation was in the new section of the hotel a minute's walk away. Our accommodation was very good, slightly lacking in character but with all the amenities provided. I understand the hall for obvious reasons has a more period feel. Our breakfast the following morning was buffet style and we enjoyed the cooked breakfast and the choice was good. The wedding itself was well managed by the staff and the food was a decent standard. The highlight were the plentiful canapes and the friendliness of the staff. A great location for such an event.

Relaxing Location

Posted 19-Jul-2014
Pros: Pool and breakfast buffet.
Cons: Provision of the following - air condition or fans, bar fridge or ice buckets.
Location: Close to Warwick
Lovely location and only shoot drive to Warwick. The old hall and chapel was interesting to see, while rooms are within the new builds. Our room was room hot and stuffy, and we found bar, restaurant etc busy due to conferences.

Wedding plus extended stay

Posted 10-Jun-2014
Pros: Fabulous location and setting, good food and drink. Friendly staff always prepared to help.
Cons: Perhaps the collection of room service crockery etc. could be quicker rather than left in corridor outside room for long periods, otherwise nothing
Location: Ideal location to visit Stratford on Avon and Warwick, don't forget the Castle well worth a visit or stroll around the Hotel grounds
Booked in the hotel to attend a wedding in the Hall. The wedding was conducted in a little church adjacent to the Hall which was incredible. Then followed an afternoon tea in the restaurant Hall which was an excellent selection of sandwiches, savouries and cakes and speciality teas. The evening function was taken in the Courtyard Suite which was an ideal venue for the occasion. The BBQ that was served was first class especially the beef burgers which were the best we have ever tasted.
