Anthony was rude unhelpful and horrid

Posted 28-Oct-2014 on Hotels.com
Dreadful, restaurant full on arrival, Anthony was no help at all re breakfast as late opening on Sunday mornings, he was not only rude to us but his fellow bar staff. Room service dreadful no glasses with drinks , no plates with pizza it came in a box so sloppy was the pizza it was returned to the kitchen. Noisy corridor. Not worth the money never stay there again

Mediocre at best.

Beautful grounds and dog friendly which was nice. The hotel itself is in need of an upgrade. Rotten wood around windows and peeling paint. The bar staff seemed unable to pour a proper pint. The breakfast was very disappointing and dull. I would stay there again because of the setting but would prefer to have a better room.

Very nice modern hotel

Posted 05-Oct-2014
Pros: Its location, the building and facilities, and the staff.
Location: Warwick, Stratford-on-Avon, Coventry, Birmingham, and Oxford are all easy drives. There is plenty to see in this area.
This hotel was located on the estate of an old manor house. The hotel building is new and was well equipped with a very good restaurant. It was also convenient to Warwick, Stratford, Oxford, and Coventry. Facilities were very good and the staff was excellent.

Good for overnight stay

We stayed at this hotel on our way down to the south coast. Location is lovely, very peaceful setting just outside a small village. We weren't there long enough to make use of the spa facilities unfortunately. The receptionists were very friendly and welcoming. The rooms were comfortable although if you are staying for longer than a night you may not want to stay on the top floor (2nd level) as the rooms are in the roof, with no opening windows and are quite small. If you want to eat in the restaurant then book in advance. We didn't realise but ended up having a lovely pub meal at the Kings Head in the nearby village of Wellesbourne (10 mins drive away).
