“Very impressed!”

Stayed at this hotel at the weekend and was really impressed - especially as we got such a good deal with Expedia. The hotel is in a really nice location in the countryside, but 10 mins from Stratford (£8 in a taxi), and 30 mins from Birminham airport. The staff were friendly and helpful, the room was great (awesome shower), good facilities (although the leisure facilities could do with a bit of a refurb), good breakfast (didn't eat any other food at the hotel, so can't comment on dinner etc). Checked in late and the staff were really friendly. Nice late check out time of 12pm, so no need to rush to leave either. Overall, highly recommended.

“nice and relaxed”

Nice and relaxed hotel. Very good sized and comfortable room. We missed the jacuzzi that used to be in the leisure suite. The restaurant served very good dinner and average breakfast. The changing rooms for the swimming pool could do with a lick of paint!

“A pleasant, well run hotel”

The hotel was chosen on price and location. We were pleasantly impressed at the quality of the hotel. The room, restaurant and leisure facilities were were very clean, well appointed and efficiently run. All staff were attentive and helpful.

Area recommendations

The hotel location is perfect for easy, 10-15 minutes driving to Stratford upon Avon, Leamington Spa and Warwick. Coventry and Birmingham only a further 20-25 minutes driving. Perfect for business meetings or an evening at the Royal Shakespeare Co. and other leisure attractions in Warwickshire.

Your own transport is a must for flexible travelling.

The breakfasts cater for all needs and you could easily miss out lunch as a result!

“Not too impressed....”

This hotel is a typical convention type. Clean, comfortable rooms and helpful staff. They serve an excellent breakfast but we had a bad experience with dinner.

Area recommendations

Nearby Stratford upon Avon is a real pleasure and a treat to visit. Friendly people and well planned access to all the major sites.

“Despite cobwebs in the corners, can't wait to return.”

The peace and quiet after city life was amazing. We were fascinated watching rabbits, squirrels, magpies, ring collar doves, bull finches and a robin from our bedroom window. Staff were very courteous and helpful. The food at breakfast was over the top. We enjoyed our stay immensely.

“Great hotel and close to Oxford University”

We we very happy with our stay. It was very convenient to the colleges at Oxford, since we were there to see our neice who is a student. The breakfast every morning was excellent. The only small negative was that the room was a bit small and a long way from the lobby.

“Stressless at Stratford Manot”

Fantastic experience, will certainly come back. Enjoyed 4 fantastic stressfree day in wonderful surroundings. All facilities were inpeccibly clean and maintained to a high standard. Service in every aspect - from check in to pool side assistance - was of an extremely high level. We would, and have, recommended Stratford Manor to friends and family.

Must see

Anne Hathaway's cottage is so pretty, in my opinion, the best of all on the Shakespear trail. Only a short walk from Stratford town centre and very easy to find. Stratford Butterfly Gardens - amazing - so many butterflies flying around you as you walk round, a surreal experience.

WARNING Local traffic wardens are everywhere and are very keen to issue tickets!!!

“Great experience”

Good Points: great location, friendly staff, were shown to our room upon arrival, great pool, sauna, steam room, spa. Good breakfast food Bad Points: dinner selection was not great, food was over-priced, bed was hard, spa is a bit small, you can only comfortably get two people in it if they know each other well. I would recommend this hotel to anyone. Made for a great, relaxing weekend away.

Area recommendations

Stratford is a great place to visit. I would also recommend the Cotswold Falconry Centre in Morton-on-Marsh.
