I would like to start by saying the staff were excellent, they went above and beyond and would be a credit to any company.
However, I will never stay at this Holiday Inn again.
The food was dreadful, you have to order it via an app and to add insult to injury you are automatically charged a service charge. The only service was bringing the food from the kitchen to the table.
The hotel ran out of white wine.
If you order a Kopperberg at the bar and have ice, there is an additional charge of £2.41 for "ice and pouring"
We had one pack of 3 custard cream biscuits that were on the bed when we arrived on the Friday (there were 2 of us staying in the room), I ate the biscuits on the Friday night.
We made our bed when we went out on the Saturday morning, when we got back someone had been laying on it and obviously watching TV as the TV remote was now under the duvet and the pillow was all creased.
I could go on but I really don't have the inclination as I doubt what I say will make any difference.
