“Nice, comfy, a bit of an oldie, Service personel attentive. Great location, close to Old Town.”
Warsaw Victoria is a clean, quiet, conveniently located classy hotel. Very good service, polite, attentive. restaurant offered good food, drinks pricey. Lufthansa connection via Dusseldorf convenient, short time waiting for the connecting flights. Warsaw's Chopin Airport is quite good, better than expected. Morning traffic to and fro not so bad.
“A bit of a disappointment”
Less than attentive bar staff, a defective television, a flickering lamp, old fashioned decor and a shower in the bath with old style shower curtain don't stand good comparison with other hotels of similar star rating and price in central Warsaw. On the plus side the bed was comfortable and the check-in/out service efficient.
“"Second time around"”
We also chose to stay at Soffitel on a visit in 2008. Overall high standards have been maintained although on this occassion breakfasts were just very good as opposed to incredible in 2008. A modern (despite external appearances) hotel that provides a comfortable and semi-luxurious surrounding. Location is excellent for accessing the delights of the old town. Only real negative is the cost of parking which at nearly 50% of the room rate is clearly absurd. Leave the car at home or if staying over the weekend public parking on adjacent streets is free but beware they start issuing tickets quite early on Monday morning as we found out to our cost. Even so the ticket was less than half the cost of hotel parking.
“Great location plus comfort”
The Sofitel is located a block from Warsaw's old town, the best area for sightseeing and restaurants. The hotel is luxurious in a 1980s way, with lots of marble. Comfortable beds and modern bathrooms, but don't expect any old world charm. A major disappointment is that the swimming pool is our of order and has been for over 3 months (we learned only after our arrival). Skip the US$30 breakfast unless you like a huge buffet; there are plenty of options nearby.
“A bit dated”
The location of this hotel is great...convenient to the business district and Old Town. The lobby and common areas were just OK. The indoor pool was closed, the rooms were a bit dated and it was very difficult to change channels on the TV...several steps to go from one channel to another...very strange set up. This is a three star hotel in terms of the physical surroundings but is priced as a four or five star hotel ($43 for a very average sandwich, a drink and tip). When I return to Warsaw, I will try someplace else.
“Great hotel but...”
The cost of buffet breakfast was outrageous: close to $40...that's even higher than in Tokyo and more expensive than dinner at a nice restaurant.

“Excellent location and very very comfortable - will definitely stay again”
Very happy with our stay. We were well looked after. This hotel has managed to balance style and comfort . The staff were excellent - the reception, door staff and housekeeping were always accommodating and help without being intrusive.
“The only reasonable hotel in Warsaw”
The hotel has all the amenities one can expect for quite a luxurious accommodation. I believe that it is due to the dated design style and some worn-out details, like the marble at the entrance, that ithe price is very reasonable. But the defects have no bearing on the overall comfort of stay. Liked most: the cleanliness of the room, the laundry service, the pool (amazing), the champagne for Sun breakfast, the price. I felt like I was in a civilized place.
“Beautiful spa in comfortable hotel”
We had a wonderful stay in this hotel, and got a great deal as well. We enjoyed the gorgeous pool and the little perks like flavored water and tea. Would love to return. Breakfast is expensive, but we went down the street to Coffee Heaven and got very good food and snacks.
