“Easy Choice for Warsaw”
Just back from stay at the Residence St Andrews Palace in Warsaw. A wonderful experience. Be very clear, this is like getting a key to an apartment. It turns out, I would be perfectly happy to live in that apartment. I upgraded a bit to the separate bedroom. Wonderfully large for Europe. Has a nice kitchen, washer/dryer, refridge, etc. The apartments are located off of the main street on a square. There are coffee shops, a pharmacy, grocery stores, a theater, and restaurants on the square. On the square's west end is a fashion mall. The result is a constant stream of beautiful, elegantly dressed women (and men I suppose) walking by all day. Reminds me more of Paris than eastern Europe. Everyone is behaving themselves and noise is not a problem. It is very well insulated. The staff is wonderful. Services are less than a regular hotel, but I am not one who uses hotel services much. Most of the hotels of Warsaw look like they were designed by Stalin. They are probably fine, but they look grim. This is a no risk choice.
“Warsaw's best neighborhood”
St. Andrews is located on Chielmna. which is (mostly) a pedestrian thoroughfare. A 10 minute walk from Warsaw Centralny train station, there are lots of cafes and shopping plus a cinema on Chielmna. If you enjoy walking, you can get to Lasniecki Park, Old Town or the Ghetto in about 15 mins. We enjoyed a superior suite, with well-apointed kitchen incl. washer/dryer. St. Andrews staff was fantastically helpful, esp. the technician who helped fix my husband's suitcase. A very satisfying breakfast is served up by a friendly staff at the cafe in the courtyard. Would definitely stay here again, though guests should make ita point to request toletries as our housekeeper forgot to leave some.
“Great place to stay in Warsaw”
Great location, great place to stay. It is much better than a regular hotel! Close to Nowy Swiat and Marszalkowska. Quiet, clean and convenient.
“Will return”
This is not your typical hotel, but an apartment. Located in a nice neibournood. The reception works like an office 8 am to 7pm, and closed weekends, but the security guard takes care of new guests.
“Great location and apartments with character”
A great apartment hotel located in central city area near Palace of Culture. Cars can not access the street the hotel is on (taxis can however), and it is a short walk from the nearest corner. Central to Centrum and trams. Has a great feel to it - very secure.
“Fantastic hotel, great location”
It wasn't what I expected, but that is not a bad thing. The hotel is more like a fully furnished apartment building with a cafe outside. The rooms were large, clean, and very comfortable. The bathrooms had been rennovated. The price included breakfast at this really cute cafe in the courtyard of the building. You can't beat the location. The hotel is on a pedestrian street lined with restaurants and stores, which is only a 5 minute walk to Nowy Swiat. Old Town Square is about a 15-20 minute walk. We were so impressed, we will definitely stay here during our next visit to Warsaw.
“Out of a seven country tour, the best of the hotels”
Absolutely the best value we experienced on a 7000 km, seven country trip that lasted over 6 weeks. Our experience and the location could not be better. Period.
“Very satisfied”
Our room was a small appartment which a couple could have hapliy lived in. We had a large lounge/diner (settee and dining table, HDTV and HD freeview) a kitchen (fridge/freezer, hob, microwave/grill, dishwasher and washing machine), hallway with a desk, telephone and fax, bedroom with balcony (kingsize bed, wardrobes with built in safe) and bathroom with bath and shower over. The whole flat was central heated but had air con for the summer. The only things missing were a can opener and corkscrew. The hotel overlooks a dead end street so although there is some traffic it is quiet, but we overlooked the internal courtyard so had no noise at all. It is close to shops (including a small supermarket) and restaurants and within walking distance of the main sights. If you visit Warsaw, you could do a lot worse than stay here.
“Best hotel in Warsaw”
This hotel was awesome, a lot better than I expected (i expected a nice 4star hotel that had great reviews). We booked a junior suite but ended up with a free upgrade to a huge 2 bedroom apartment. This "room" had a kitchen with a dishwasher, washing machine, microwave and full sized fridge, a living room with 2 couches and a fax/phone, plasma TV with 600 satellite channels on all languages you can imagine, 2 bedrooms with king beds and a very nice bathroom with a tub and a stand up shower. The service was great, front desk lady spoke great english and was very helpful with a TV prob we've encountered. The breakfast was very nice and their coffee was great. The location was also awesome, right in the center, close to the main railway station and all the sights. Overall, it was a great experience and i would definitely stay there again and again.
“Can't get better!”
HI, spent last week at the St. Andrews Palace, Warsaw and definately recommend it. There is everything you need in the apartments including flat screen TV, washer, dishwasher, dvd, vcr, 'sky', nice bathroom, comfy bed, sofa bed in lounge. The location is very central, the receptionist most helpful and cheerful. We had a lovely time but would return at a different time of year as from 10.7.10 to 17.07.10 the heat in Warsaw climbed to a very hot 36 degrees, luckly the apartment had a super air con unit which made things more bearable! Check out the bar just out of the main entrance path to the left, nice atmosphere and very nice Weizig beer! Thank you St Andrews!
