“An enjoyable palace to stay in Warsaw”

I recently spent 3 nights at the Polonia Palace Hotel. It was only when I arrived in Warsaw that I realised how convenient its location was. The hotel was situated close to many of the activities I had planned to do my partner while on our second visit to Warsaw. The facilities were above my expectation. The Hotel staff was very helpful and the room was comfortable. I usually judge the quality of a good Hotel by how comfortable the bed is, the room facilities (coffee and tea available), the pressure of the shower in the bathroom and the variety of the food on offer. On this occassion three out of four indicators were excellent. After a day of walking around the city visiting places you want to return back to your room and enjoy a relaxing cup of tea/coffee watching a bit of TV for a while before your dinner. The tea/coffee facility was not available. However, the most delightful part of our stay at this Hotel was having breakfast in the morning. The food on offer was superb. My partner enjoyed very much the variety of meats, fresh fruits and cereals on offer. I still miss that delicious scramble egg with smoked salmon, the various cheeses and ham, the fruit compot and to top it all the assortment of cakes in case you had room for something sweet. My partner and I felt that overall we had an excellent experience at the Hotel and we would go back again given the chance to return to Warsaw for another weekend visit.

Area recommendations
The old town. Many museums and important public buildings are local to the Hotel and are open to the public to visit. There are many cultural events available that can be booked in advance before you travel. A concert and the ballet are some of the events we attended. There are many well known Restaurants in the old town that offer a variety of excellent Polish food at reasonable prices.

“Splendid Hotel”

The Polonia Palace is a hotel that impresses as you enter. The lobby is light bright and very elegant. The reception staff friendly and very efficient. Our room was splendidly large and very comfortable. The bed was very comfortable but the duvet was slightly smaller than the width of the bed which made sleeping two people a bit of a pain as we each kept claiming the majority of the cover. Breakfast was to die for with almost anything you could thing off was there. We did not eat any other meals there so can not comment on the other restaurant offerings. However the bar was pleasant and drinks reasonably priced for a good quality hotel. But why do hotels always think that guests want to watch sport while relaxing. There were at least five huge screens relentlessly showing sport distracting us from each other. Should we ever return to Warsaw then that would be our preference as hotel accommodation.

Area recommendations
I would recommend that travelers stay in the area of Warsaw Central Station as it has very good transport connections and is adjacent to the main shopping area. An added bonus is that the 175 bus runs past the hotel direct to Warsaw Chopin Airport.
Getting there
Whizz Airlines from Luton do a good service at sensible prices. Reasonable legroom but as with all budget airlines eat before travelling as the sandwiches are expensive well not up to much. Check in on line or pay extra at the airport. Their bag drop system works well.
Getting around
Use the trams and buses and buy day or longer period tickets from the Rusch kiosks in the main streets. Service is fantastic, clean and normally on time.
Dining
Take a stroll out of the hotel and into the streets behind where you will find a number of smaller restaurants serving good quality, reasonably priced food and drink. Also check out the restaurant who's name roughly translates as 'Under the Red Hog' for really splendid food, large portions (almost too much to eat) and a fabulous atmosphere.

“Wonderful Warsaw!”

I really loved everything about this hotel. A first-class, beautiful place in a great location. The staff were helpful and friendly, the bar and restaurant were fantastic, the rooms were spacious, and I can't wait to go back!

Must see
Old Town and the Warsaw Uprising Museum were my favorite sites.

“Will go back any time!”

We chose this hotel because of its location. It is across the street from the central railway station and is very close to the old town and shopping area. Upon our arrival, we were greeted by a very pleasant staff member. We arrived at 6 am and got our room right away, which saved us 5 hours of waiting until checking in time. The room was very clean. We had a great view on the city. The bus going to the airport (175) stops right across the street. I would recommend this hotel to any person who wishes to spend a pleasant time in Warsaw.

“A beautiful hotel”

This hotel was a wonderful break of the hostel and bustle of Warsaw. My mother and I were taking a quick break in Warsaw on our tour of Poland and this hotel was truly a treat. Worth twice what we payed and we didn't want to leave! Air-conditioned, fast internet, and extremely clean!

Area recommendations
It is a central location and a very walkable area!

“Good, with specific flaws”

I like the hotel for its location and non-chain character, so this was my 3d stay. Rooms are comfortable and clean, and you can open windows. I always receive a quite room looking to the yard, as asked. The staff is polite and helpful. However, the cable internet in the room got interupted one day (and it happened in the past as well), so I needed to go to the lobby for wireless. Unfortunately, as I found this time, their laundry service is below any reasonably acceptable level, and "creativity" of this service better not to describe in public.

“nice hotel for the money”

The hotel has recently been renovated and is in excellent condition. The hotel gym has very limited equipment but it is in good condition. The food is good but a bit pricey.

Area recommendations
Nowy Swiat Street leads to old town and to the major parks. It would be the best place to stay as one could walk everywhere. This hotel is 5 or 6 blocks from Nowy Swiat. but in close proximity to the train station and the Saturn Mall.
