“A great hotel!”
Really enjoyed our stay in the Metropol, Warsaw. The room was spacious and comfortable and the staff were efficient and helpful. The breakfast was superb with a wide selection of food to choose from. The Jazz Bar, where breakfast is served is lovely. The hotel is in a good central location also.Overall, the hotel is great value for money.
“Metropol Downtown Hotel and Warsaw”
We enjoyed very much our stay at the Metropol, staff were very friendly and served an excellent breakfast. Would highly recommend it. Warsaw is a very interesting place with the beautiful Old Town and the intense history and museums. Fabulous time!
“Metropol is the place”
We had just come from another hotel just around the corner. A more expensive hotel than the Metropol. However we found that the Metropol was better in every way. Bigger room better finishes better location. The breakfast was also better. A very clean and comfortable well run hotel.
“Central Hotel”
Very close to central station so just hop the bus into town and you can walk to the hotel. My Flight was late and I was worried about checking in after 1am but there were no problems. Comfortable room and excellent breakfast. Once in Warsaw I walked almost everywhere I wanted to go, so the location was perfect.
“Good Location”
Hotel offers clean modern facilities and the breakfast is excellent. I stayed here because I wanted to be near the train station as I was arriving from Krakow in the evening and did not want to have to find a hotel that was far away. There are cheaper alternatives further from the station, probably nearer the old town.
“Bit Pricey But Good Location”
Spent two nights in the Metropol in February 2011. Located smack bang in the centre of Warsaw, just opposite the Palace of Culture & Science, it's an old hotel that's obviously seen better days but is still clean, tidy, with swift and professional service. The room was okay, although a bit dark and didn't have much of a view. Wi-fi came at a cost too. Not the cheapest in town but considering its central location - and the cost of hotel rooms nearby - it's a fair price.
“Not Room!”
A waitress took my juice and tea before I even got to drink it. I couldn't understand how she tought I'd finished as I didn't have a dirty plate and had clean cuttlery still. The room was very hot with no way to turn the heating down. There was just one constantly hot pipe. The eggs a breakfast were poorly scambled.
“Its Hostel really”
If you want somewhere really central for 1 night then sure, but the rooms are cramped, the outside noise is so much, the 'double bed' is so small, its very basic. On the plus side, you can park outside at 45 PLN a day...
