“The new Mercure in Warsaw”

The Mercure in Warsaw is a Very Nice Place, with some surprises! Our lights would not turn on, Until you placed the key card into its holder by the door. A great Energy Saver for the hotel, but they need to tell you this. Excellent lobby and restaurant, though $20.00+ for a breakfast buffet is a bit steep in Warsaw. We really enjoyed our stay!

Area recommendations

This was an excellent area for our stay and was close to public transportation and attractions.

Getting around

Be sure to buy a 3 day public transportation ticket it was a great buy! and you can get to almost everywhere.

Allow a full day for the Uprising Museum!

“Clean Central Hotel”

Mercure Grand Warsaw is easily located a couple blocks from the DH Smyk stop on the 175 bus which runs from the airport to the old town. In good weather with few bags, you could even walk from the train station. However, Warsaw taxis are so cheap you don't need to. It's also an easy walk to Lazienki or buses to Wilanow. No free breakfast, and you'd have to have money to burn to pay for hotel breakfast. There are a few decent Italian restaurants, Polish and Russian in walking distance. Clean rooms with coffee maker and sat TV. Toilet and shower/washroom are in separate spaces en suite which makes travelling with a companion easier.

Area recommendations

Walk around the neighborhood looking for good food. There's a great Polish restaurant tucked away on Zurawia street across from the hotel.

“Great value hotel in Warsaw, very close to the centre”

I stayed one night on a weekend break, the hotel sent a car to meet me at the airport for a reasonable rate - all very efficient. The building is about 50 years old but has recently been renovated to a high standard. Modern bright colours inside. Very helpful staff who arranged a city tour. Recommended.

Mercure Grand can be compared to a boutique hotel. It is modern, full of colors and has a great atmosphere. I would recommend it to anyone.

I would recommend staying in the area of the Marriott hotel because it is much more central.

“Very good hotel”

The Mercure is a handsome hotel. It is in a pleasant neighborhood within 5-10 minute walk of the Centrum. The price was right. The room was comfortable, but a bit cramped. All the applicances worked. My wake up calls arrived punctually. There was a convenient, stylish Italian restaurant just across the street with excellent food at good prices. There is a taxi stand just one block away. I warmly recommend this hotel.

“Simply Brilliant.”

Probably the nicest hotel I've ever stayed at. Clean, comfortable, and pleasant. Didn't eat at the restaurant, and we only stayed one night, but I will definitely visit again!
