“Canadian business treveller”

This is a great hotel for Poland. It is newer, has a great gym and spa. Will definately repeat!

“"Glossy facilities - less than glossy service"”

Hilton Warsaw is a typical modern high rise hotel with all the facilities one could want. Probably more suited to business than leisure travellers, although obviously popular with tour groups also. On this our second visit to Warsaw we chose Hilton purely on cost and the incredibly cheap deal offered through Expedia. Breakfasts are great. However one wouldn't choose the Hilton if service is a key criteria. We arrived about 10pm and had to man-handle our bags all the way from the car to the room as no offer of assistance was forthcoming. Front desk reception staff were clearly yet to be trained in the ethics of service and courtesy. Having said that we found the concierge staff obliging and helpful and the young doorman who assisted with getting our luggage to our rental car on departure deserves to be the hotel manager one day.

“Great Hotel for Warsaw”

This was a great hotel and a very good price. Services and amenities were superb. Breakfast foods were very good. The staff was very helpful and knowledgeable. Only slight negative was the location. about 1-1,5 km from the main town sites. But the hotel outweighed the issue o location. It was a 30 minute walk to the Old Town section.

“Agreat Hotel in Warsaw”

“Nice Hotel”

Hotel was very nice in keeping with what you would expect from the Hilton. Breakfasts were very good. The location isn't great as it is a reasonable distance from the center of town - Warsaw public transport is very good though which negates it a little. The rates for wifi are completely absurd and as such a private traveller would never pay them.

Getting around

Warswaw public transport system is very good - a 3 day pass on all modes of transport (tram, bus, metro) is very cheap and convenient. No need for taxis - the normal city buses go to and from the airport at very regular intervals.

“very nice.”

the hotel was nice, but the sports center was not kid friendly at all. my children were not allowed to use the pool (except for 3 hours during the mid afternoon). this was disappointing. my children are 12 and 14 years old so they are not toddlers.

Area recommendations

i would probably recommend the neighborhood closer to the old town area. there was nothing close to the hotel, except the uprising museum.

“Best Beds Ever!”

The Hilton Warsaw Hotel Conv Centr was beautiful and only a 20 minute walk to Old Town (Stare Miasto.) The room was great. Ask for a top floor with a view of the city. We did and it was wonderful. (Just don't look right next door, there is a lot of work going on downtown and it's not always pretty.) The rooms are well equipped, the beds are plush and you sink right in. There are bedding options, so if you don't like what they provide, apparently you can request other pillows, sheets, etc. They provided us with three, euro-sized pillows of varying firmness. This was a drawback because my husband and I like the same, downy pillows and there not two to use. The bathrooms were spacious, well-lit, and there is a nice, deep soaking tub with a shower extension (all tubs should have this, in my opinion). There is also a separate shower and this came in handy. The only kind of gross part was that the ice tongs were NOT clean. We didn't need to use them so we didn't complain, but I debated it. Sticky and hairy... Nasty! We ordered room service the day we checked out, and for 88 PLN, I didn't really think it was worth the money. It had a LOT of food, (breads, omelette, etc) but nothing was well cooked, and certainly wasn't what I would have expected from a Hilton property. The downside to this? There is nowhere else to really get breakfast in that area, except other hotels... Otherwise? We slept well and enjoyed our stay.

Area recommendations

Stare Miasto.... wonderful for walking at night. There is good food (do NOT go to the Irish Pub... Molly Malones... it's not Irish and the food is not good.) Gorgeous buildings, well lit at night, and definitely go through the business quarter right outside the old town. You can walk past the President's house. Also, go to the Lazienki Park... grounds for the old palace. You'll be delighted in all four seasons! And look out for peacocks! There are everywhere. Also, recommendation: NEGOTIATE with the taxis! They will try to overcharge you. And if you are staying at the Hilton, do not use the taxis right outside, approach one on the street and save yourself almost 40 zloty/PLN.

“recommended”

Friendly staff. good facilities but far away from the old town and the center. There is evidence of cost cutting in the hotel (no toothbrush provided etc) Dont use hotel taxis as they charge more than double of the regular taxis. Overall, it is recommended.

“Good facilities, but not very central location”

The hotel is very nice and well maintained. Rooms are nice, good bed, couch and desk. Nice swimming-pool and it's facilities. The whole spa-section of the hotel is also used by local people, so there's always someone else there. The location of the hotel is not that central, a few blocks to the nearest shopping center. The hotels taxi-service is quite a lot more expensive than normal taxi, but the cars are very nice with good legroom.
